Looks like you are new to the cultivation genre thr are many novels with atleast thousand chps that's considered normal...one of my favourite novels Martial Peak and it's manhua adaptation has 10.5 billion views on official tencent manhua platform ( possibly in the best selling manhua list at top 3 ) it's novel has 6009chps and it's manhua adaptation finished this year with 3847chps Both manhua and novel ran for approx 9 years individually,this particular one has the highest count I have seen so far

Also I would like to share about an info in Shrouding the heavens there's a certain realm breakthrough event that happened and the way they described it and how it progressed I have never seen it any cultivation story I have read/watched..so I hope ya would keep going through it to witness it π

I am watching a donghua recently named Shrouding the heavens the male lead is very different than wang lin for sure but here his development makes it very relatable because ( He eventually learns to survive he needs to kill when necessary and he doesn't depend on anyone on his adventure like say ( Although it's not a drawback but wang lin did have initial support from Situ nan. Though he's not involved later on in wang lins journey) but here the male lead doesn't have any kind of support.. I will give you my honest thoughts to watch the initial first 25 episodes as they are the struggling initial stage for male lead after the 25 episode mark the series kept getting better and I am enjoyingit a lot more
