I think it's because I noticed some things, firstly he was wearing gold unlike others, secondly that time when JCY was having a party at his house (before Mr third fell into Mudan's garden when he was peeking) if you notice the seating arrangements you would see that he was seating in the middle and aso his seat was above everyone else even JCY so that just gave it away at least to me
