Run as much as you can and don't look back !

I cannot describe it ! It is so bad written that I don't know how I managed to get until the end! The female character is a a scarecrow most of the time, although it is very functional to create professional ( and love wise) problems . She spend a lot of time saying sorry showing how unprofessional she can be and how to be a horrible woman too, disrespectful to the supposed "love" interest. On the top of that, she´s got a friend even more annoying Lele who is all the time slagging Zi Qi off ( the male character) . There we go again into the old rubbish (supposed to be) romantic plot.
A MMA between Sheng Xin Ren and Zi Qi would be more like. The real problem lying with this " selfish martyr romance" plot type sourced in the romanticism era that DOES NOT FIT ANYMORE!
There is very little to do with love and more with selfishness and martyrdom.
I will use a description from Chingu Mode( member of DML) that had also reviewed Miss Rose ( avoid too if you can, is another waste of time because it portrays a woman in a very ridiculous position and as a non reliable human being towards love ), a lot of his description it suits my perception over Office Girls . I saw myself yelling at every episode( I don´t know why I have insisted... maybe because it was my first Taiwanese series).
Pretty much because portray a woman as an idiot and a man as even more questionable, as there is no reason to pursue someone unloving like Sheng Xin Ren , in one minute she look after him and in another she does things that is a absurd from someone that likes another! Is annoying that in one minute she is all about motherly nature and in another minute she treats him worse than an enemy. There is Chingu Mode view:
" The absolute worst of Taiwanese dramas featuring a female lead so passive, simpering and self-righteous that you'll be rooting for the second female lead to throw her under a bus. "
I agree with Chingu Mode also for Shen Xin Ren of the Office Girls .
I found Office Girls WORST than Miss Rose because Shen Xin Ren is even more disrespectful in all senses towards her love pair.
I finish this review questioning about these ridiculous plots from the genre that in any Country you may find, not only in Taiwan... Wasting talents and perpetuating so-wrong conceptions about love. I saw many Chinese movies using the love theme mixed with comedy and turned out to be nice, one example is Love on Delivery with Stephen Chow. You don't have to go insane to fulfil the genre
As Chingu points out : " I just think it's a relief they don't make these horrid and misogynistic odes to female martyrdom anymore."
Fingers crossed Chingu, fingers crossed!

A waste of talents.

Good Production, good actors, and yes a potential good plot. Unfortunately , it resurfaces that old misconception about what it means to be romantic, making a man chase all the time for the woman that he loves ( really boring I must to say, because the female character most of the time is portrayed as someone determined looking for love and when it finds the love it becomes a prat spoiled inconsistent with what it says to feel, making a thread of decisions to stop the relationship with single-minded reasons where the romantic pair does not really matter over these decisions . This makes clear how little romantic indeed is. Unfortunately again, for us, this type of plot is the most common for the genre. In Miss Rose , starts well displaying Luo Si Yi closer to the real woman that when likes someone is "with him" and not " fighting against him "- as in Office Girls ( another Taiwanese series on Netflix starring Roy Chiu and possibly with the same screenwriter for Miss Rose - In Office Girls, Shen Xing Ren ( the female character) can really annoys ! In another words is a real distorted romantic plot or suitable for the girls of 12 years old . Back to Miss Rose unbelievable twists that rely on possibly a bipolar screenwriter? - Things like a central character Luo Si Yi, one day accept to date Gao Cheng Kuan , to the next day ask for a break up out of blue because she is suspected of industrial espionage? I don't think Taiwan is different from the rest of the world in heart matters, so what the heck is this love from Luo Si Yi? Very unstable and not loyal at all to her boyfriend ( is this the female traits a man has to pursue so tirelessly?). You will see Gao Cheng Kuan suffer unnecessarily a few times for nothing, it is just Luo Si Yi being coward and selfish indeed thinking what is supposed to be the best to Gao Cheng Kuan, forgetting his feelings and focusing only on hers . There is the tricky bit, a mother more than a girlfriend (so boring! ) .Where is the screenwriter inspiration? Very weak triggers to the shake ups between Luo and Gao. In the end we have something that it could be great ,ending up as the same old ( and distorted) romantic rubbish ! What a shame , a waste of talents!
