This has deteriorated even further into trope-ism and juvenile writing/story-telling.At this point, I'm just fast-forwarding…
to each their own, but just because it follows common tropes doesn’t mean it’s bad. some shows can ace the tropes and be enjoyable. atleast they added realistic themes about discovering sexuality this time around rather than just fetishizing two men together. and i like how the female characters aren’t just lifeless characters for once. i personally find the writing for this show really well. it’s not anything crazy unique but it’s done well.
though i do find it annoying how GMMTV shows in general follow the same structure everytime. in my memory only ‘not me’ was something different for once and i think that wasn’t really received well so which is why they’re sticking to the formula that’s worked before. for this same reason i really couldn’t enjoy my school president. but when the same cast of MSP did moonlight chicken, everything just worked better imo. the leads felt natural, the story was simple yet effective and the actors really shined in the role. GMMTV really should find a balance between typical BLs and non typical bls.
i personally expected the success of kinnporsche and itsay as thai bls to make gmmtv put more effort into trying to switch things up but eh it is what it is. atleast the production quality is top tier.
the whole bar sequence was so good. the bar was such an easy to read metaphor for gawins confusion about his sexuality and i loved that. we’ve seen coming out scenes but it’s rare seeing a character who was actually curious about his sexuality at first. this series is a gift that keeps on giving.
saw a clip of this on tiktok and remembered how fun this show was back then. instantly wished for nadao bangkok's production to make a proper bl back then and was so happy when they finally did with i told sunset about you. i guess they were testing the waters before entering the bl genre with this one. this show's cast was fine af and the production quality still holds up well. glad that most of them managed to land more successful roles later.
my god the acting during the last part of the episode was just too good. the angst, anger and the tension was just mwuah. i love how pisaengs character isn’t one dimensional, the scene where he’s walking right after the fight with kawi is so good. nothing crazy happening just his emotions were enough to complete the scene. officially obsessed with this show.
the love triangle between kawi pisaeng and pear is def gonna hurt sm in future. how is it just ep 4 only, this series is so interesting 😭😭
his face is too good for him to be unemployed like this. someone pick him up already!!! i was really happy when he got a main role for lovely writer but now he's been missing from the scene for too long

it was a good show but i didn’t like the pacing at all. it was just too short. you could feel they were rushing from scene to scene. it’s such a shame because it would’ve been so much better if it was longer. for some reason the strongest scene to me when ki tae showed the camera he was holding onto for years and in response lee wans character portrayed confusion so well.
I love this BL way too much! I wish I watched it when it was done so I wouldn’t have to wait every week for a new episode. This series seems to be the master of all the tropes but done right and in such a good pace. All the episodes so far have been so interesting, can’t wait for next week to come.
i am already seeing lots of clips appearing on my tiktok, especially gawin edits! one thing i noticed though that the production quality is really good. hopefully this becomes the next standard for GMMTV. the director is really doing a good job but it's no surprise since he's done the gifted, good old days and bright's upcoming movie debut.
really can't wait for the next episode already, let's hope this series remains good from start to end
Unpopular and Unpleasant Opinion:Seems BL fans have forgiven Krist for his homophobic utterances. For dropping…
I personally think his comments were blown out of proportion. He just was tired of constant asking if he was gay or not and if he and Singto were a thing. He still works with queer directors and producers behind the scenes so he’s def not homophobic.
I’m pretty sure many actors feel fed up from the constant shipping but they simply just hide it unlike Krist. This is why I think we should let art remain an art and separate it from the artist. BL fans have become way too delusional, and we’ve already seen how many actors it has impacted. In the end, none of the fans and actors win because both get exploited wrongly.
I think Krist did this show because he was offered to act with someone else so the extreme fans from his previous ship would stop being delusional. I think more BL actors should do this and switch up their ships so the fans are given a chance to be reminded that it's all fictional and nothing real.
