As far as GL miniseries go, this was alright. The writing and the acting both aren't that great, and the English subtitles are more a hindrance than a help a lot of the time. But the girls are cute, and it's a sweet little story, so I'm not mad I watched it.

As with pretty much every miniseries I watch, I think it could have been better if it had been a longer series. Or even if it had been conceptualized as a 2-hour movie. But, alas, I will take what I can get.

This show was really great from start to finish, and I'm so glad I gave it a shot! I wasn't sure how I would like it, since I was really let down by JimmySea's previous show, but they were both incredible in this! They both improved so much as actors over the past year, and their chemistry was amazing. I was particularly impressed by Sea, who did such a good job portraying Day's complexity and made his blindness look very real.

As a whole, I was really impressed with how the show handled Day's blindness. There never was a moment where it felt like they forgot about it, and they included so many little details that showed that they really did their research for this show. I thought they did such a good job, and I loved how the arc of the show was largely about Day learning how to take care of himself and function as a blind man. It was empowering, really.

I didn't love the ending of the show (particularly the final episode and how it was set up), but on the whole this was such a wonderful show to watch.

Cute, But Not Much Else

As far as GL miniseries go, this one was cute and fun to watch (with plenty of kisses to make my heart happy). The characters were sweet and there was very little conflict, which can be nice to see. I'm not always a fan of miniseries, but this one did a good job in my opinion.

But honestly, there was no real substance here. The characters were all one-note, and I found it hard to care about the relationship when it a.) moved so fast, and b.) there was nothing else in the show at all. Nothing in the characters' lives outside their relationship, and an almost comical amount of people just appearing onscreen because there was no world outside whatever was on screen at a time.

I'm glad we got this show, and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a quick, cute show to watch-- but I'm hoping that one day we will have plenty of GLs that are better than this.

In the end, this show was only okay for me. Writing-wise, it was pretty weak. The actors were good, but they weren't given much chance to shine with the script they were given. I know a lot of people had problems with Chimon and Perth's chemistry, but I thought they could have been much better if they were in a better show.

The plot kept flip flopping where it was intense for a few episodes, and then we had five episodes of pure fluff, and then the intensity came back for two episodes. It wasn't consistent, and it left the show feeling like it was lacking.

Still, I was happy that Chimon finally got a chance to be a lead in a non-ensemble show. And I thought Papang was incredible, and really he could be a leading man all on his own. I would happily watch a show starring him and Pepper as leads!

I'm not mad I watched it, but honestly I wouldn't recommend it unless you really love the actors or feel the need to watch every BL. As much as I love the actors, this one was pretty skippable.

Good, For What It Was

This was actually really good on many levels: the characters were compelling, the storylines were interesting, the acting was good. But it was all really hindered by being a short, two-episode miniseries. If this were a full-length twelve (or even eight!) episode where we had a chance to have character and relationship development, to see the side ships build, to have this cute friends-to-lovers GL story be given the chance it actually deserves... this could have been amazing.

I'd say it's worth a watch, but it just could have been so much more.

Absolutely a New Favorite!

This show was one I've been excited for since it was first announced in December 2021, and I'm so glad it ended up being so good! I was a little concerned after the first few episodes of the trajectory of the show, just because it went in such a different direction than I initially thought it would, but it pulled everything off so well. I ended up feeling so satisfied with the story stold, which was heartfelt and loving in the best way. Gawin and Krist had great chemistry, and they worked so well together! Together and separate, they both did an amazing job.

Krist was funny and over-the-top in a way that just added to the humor and joy of the story, and Gawin-- agh, he is just *so* talented! One heartbroken look from him and I'm sobbing, and then his smile makes me want to swoon. He is such a star and I sincerely hope this is the start of a long string of lead roles for him. He really deserves it.

This show had the absolute right combination of everything I love: romance, comedy, heartfelt moments, actual acknowledgement of the queer community, and just a touch of speculative elements. I liked that the show didn't rely too heavily on the time travel aspect, so when it did come into play it felt more impactful.

For anyone who's been hesitant about this one, I beg you to give it a try. It was so much fun to watch, and I think you would really enjoy it.

Total Sci-Fi Goodness!

While a lot of comments seem to be dissatisfied with this show, I thought it was really fun! I think they could have done a bit more with Erng's newfound abilities and the mystery surrounding her before that was all explained, but on the whole this show was funny, heartfelt, full of sci-fi goodness, and just a really good time.

The acting was really solid, too! Nanon, of course, is a star and was able to affect me greatly with the most minute expressions. He was a great lead and brought a lot of charisma to a role that could have easily been insufferable. Namtan was a phenomenal actress as well, and really held her own against Nanon! Sing and Drake were funny sidekick characters (as per usual for them), but this show gave both of them a little extra when it came to their characters, allowing them to be more than just the funny best friends. It was really nice to see.

This show was fun and interesting, and honestly it was really different than most of the dramas I've seen. I had a really good time, and I would recommend this to just about anyone!

Short and Sweet!

To be completely honest, the only reason I decided to watch this show was because Nanon is in it— and of everything else, he shined in this show. Even as a kid (an adorable kid!! I just want to pinch his cheeks) he's so talented and just a joy to watch. The other actors were good, too, but honestly I just have a soft spot for Nanon.

But all in all, I did end up enjoying this show! It was sweet and really quick to get through. While I sometimes didn't love Belle's determination to woo S when he straight up told her he wasn't interested, it was still cute and nice to see both of their feelings changing over the course of the series.

For a mini-series like this, I thought it was well done. The side characters were entertaining (Belle has some really great friends!), and I know I definitely want to see more. I'll definitely be jumping into My Lil Boy 2 in the near future.

Dropped the Ball

This show started off decent and honestly just went downhill from there. The first half or so was fine-- the acting isn't great throughout, but it's forgivable enough-- but once they actually got to the beauty pageant, it got so muddled and confused.

It was like the writers didn't know what story they were trying to tell, and in trying to tell a lot of things in a short amount of time they ended up telling us essentially nothing. There was a lot of focus on side characters that didn't matter and not enough focus on the ones who did, there wasn't a lot showing the actual beauty pageant or anything other than catty behavior that didn't really do much for the story. The timeline started to skip forwards and back, and we seemingly skipped over some important parts of Meena and Cherine's story. All in all, none of this felt cohesive. Many scenes just felt cobbled together, and often it felt like the writers forgot they were writing a romance. It was very clear that this was just a cash grab to capitalize on the Engfa and Charlotte's fans, and really there wasn't even an attempt to make it anything else.

Honestly, my rating should be lower, but it hurts my heart to rate one of the few GLs out there so low. Actually, I really wouldn't have stuck through this if it weren't a GL, or if it wasn't such slim-pickings when it comes to GL. It really wasn't worth my time-- honestly I wish I had just dropped it.

I would suggest people just skip this one and wait for 23.5 or Be Mine the series to air.

I have been so excited for Gap for so long (Thailand's first GL!! And apparently Asia's first full-length GL!) and I came away really enjoying this show. Was it perfect? No. Were there aspects I kind of didn't like, or I don't think were done great? Yeah. But it was everything I could have wanted for a GL-- it was full of romance, swoon-worthy moments, and honestly felt like a celebration of f/f love.

I could go through and pick through all the different aspects of the show, but ultimately I think I just want to keep it brief. The acting is there, the chemistry is there, and while the story may wobble sometimes, it's there too. I am now a fan of just about everyone in this show, and I hope to see more from them all in the future!

If you're hesitant to give this one a try, I would say just go for it. Give it a chance, because it may just surprise you.

Chaotic and Hilarious!

This installment in the Midnight series is so fun! It's full of chaos and over-the-top camp that is just such fun to watch. I've thoroughly enjoyed my time watching it.

The visuals in this show were really great! The neon lights in the laundromat were so atmospheric, and brought a romantic tone to the story. The sets were really nice without being too complicated, and worked well for a shorter-form series.

The actors were, of course, wonderful. Nanon is a star, pure and simple, and he did so well in this sort of role. He was funny, charming, swoon-worthy, and even at one point kind of intimidating! He was a great choice for this show. The rest of the cast was awesome, as well. Film was cute and funny, and very good at the over-the-top style of the show. I loved seeing Foei and Jennie again and thought they hit the humor of the show so well. Everyone else was really good, too! I don't have a single complaint about the acting.

The story was also really solid. While ridiculous at times, it pulled at real issues and had a coherent theme throughout. The writing was tight-- I swear, there was not one single erroneous detail in the entire show. Everything shown to us-- characters, throwaway lines, set-pieces-- worked together to build up the story. Every character mattered in a way I hardly ever see in television. The story was done so well, and honestly I applaud whoever wrote it.

All in all, this was a great time and a great show. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fast, funny show!

Fast-Paced and So Much Fun!

This show was SO fantastic, from the beginning all the way to the end! I don't think there was a single moment I wasn't enjoying myself and just itching to know what happened next.

The plot was incredible. It was fast-paced, entertaining, and surprisingly complex for a mini-series. Mote was an intelligent main character who got wrapped up in some rather unfortunate circumstances— honestly, it was so nice to watch a show like this and not be annoyed by the MC's stupidity! Mote was smart and was able to think his way through, which was awesome to see. All of the characters were interesting and fleshed out (Kat and Sun were both SO interesting, and I could have watched a whole show just about them and their backstories). The writing was pretty solid, as well.

As far as acting went, I think everyone did a great job. I will say, Mond really shined in this, though! He is so freaking incredible as an actor and played Sun beautifully— I could practically feel every emotion Sun felt during the whole series. Mond is an amazing actor, and I cannot wait to see him in more interesting roles like this!

All in all, this was such a hit! Definitely one I will want to revisit one day, and I would highly recommend it.

Simple and Sweet

This was a sweet little webseries! I loved the casting in it (Nanon and Chimon are some of my faves, and I've been loving Ciize and Jan recently!), and the story was simple, but nicely done. I liked the incorporation of love theories and how they ended up panning out in the (quite ambiguous) ending. The ending wasn’t something I was expecting, but given the nature of the webseries and it’s length, I think it was a good fit.

While I don't think this is going to stick in my brain, I'm glad I took the time to watch it!

Did We Really Need This?

This was... fine.

Honestly, I don't know what else to say about it. It was underwhelming, though I wouldn't call it bad. It's just-- the show is one of my all-time favorites, and this just did not hold up. I didn't feel the chemistry I felt in the show, and it just couldn't get me to /care/. There really wasn't a story it was trying to tell-- it was so slice-of-life, just following Adachi and Kurosawa's relationship after the show ended. Nothing particularly exciting happened, and honestly this was nothing we couldn't have gotten from fanfiction (and done better, too!).

The only scene that really stuck out to me was the scene with Adachi's family. The rest of them... weren't anything special.

So, yeah. This was fine, but did we really need this? Was the show not enough?

It Just Didn't Click

I'll start by saying I'm First's BIGGEST fan, and honestly if he wasn't the lead in this I probably would have dropped it long ago. Hell, I might not have even watched it in the first place if not for him. And First definitely did not disappoint! He gave this role his all and played a very complex character BEAUTIFULLY. Honestly, all of the acting in this show was great and pretty much the best thing this show had going for it.

For much of the show, though, the story just didn't click for me. The chemistry and the plot just... couldn't hold my interest. I can't say there was no chemistry between First and Khaotung, but I didn't feel it. I can't say the plot (before episode 10 or so) wasn't good, but I could never get myself to care about what was happening. If First hadn't been the lead, I probably would have stopped watching— not because it was /bad/ per se, but just because I didn't /care/.

I did have a lot of issues with the last few episodes (namely episode 11), but on the whole the show was alright. It just really didn't work for me, personally.
