We may need to prepare for a unique story arc where the leads come together and pull apart several times in order for their characters to grow, learn, and heal. I believe LYN said in his podcast that his character does find his happiness, so I’m going to hold onto this until the bitter or sweet end.

This is so good, I can’t seem to find anything that holds my interest long enough, so I’ve gone back to watch the first few episodes a few times to fill the space in between.

After watching this scene over a few dozen times for verification purposes, we can now say there is a kissing scenes between the leads.

I believe this is an emotionally deep drama as it goes deep into pulling at your heartstrings. There are moments that are true-to-life which I feel gives TSOPG its authenticity. As far as the HE, both leads have hinted there is one. That being said, this is the only drama I’ve ever wanted to keep watching no matter the ending. The scenes are breathtaking, the storyline is fresh and intriguing, the characters are fascinating, and the acting is way above par. Every episode is an emotionally journey I wouldn’t want to miss.

I watch on Youku. I want to support the hard work from the cast and crew for bringing us this drama.

This has to be one of the most engaging dramas I’ve watched in months. It’s so well done. The acting and actions by the characters leave such a lasting impression. I care about their backstories and anticipate their journey. The momentum is perfect for my taste. As well, the chemistry between the leads is starting to build. I know there are going to be calm and crashing moments between them, but I’m seated for it all.

This drama is on fire. I had to go back and watch episode 7 again. The treasure hunt scene was not only ironic in nature but so intense. The camera panning to YZJ every time DW was in danger, was what I've been waiting for. LYN is doing an excellent job of conveying his character's feelings without using a single word. I know we're going to go through many storms with them, but I'm here for every wave.

Great points. My least favorite trope is love at first sight, so I thought it took the ML a reasonable amount of time to build up to the subtle hints of interest in episode 4. As a tortured soul himself, I believe he does find a kindred spirit with her.

I never take any rating from Douban seriously. I'm not even sure why it's used as a legitimate measurement anymore.

I know there are some tearful moments, but I really started to cry when ZJR was reciting his poem using Duan Wu's words. I loved how they showed scenes from episode 1 of her diving and the struggle she went through over his words. And then to cut to her crying while listening to him was poetry itself. They played the scene brilliantly. (The subtle jealousy from YZJ during the scene was a bonus).

I actually LOL when Duan Wu started to dance and had to readjust to the others pose and the face YZJ made after ZJR sited poetry during her dance. Subtle but good.

I believe if you’re looking for a true-to-life drama that is engaging and mesmerizing, touching on all the emotions, this drama is for you. If you’re looking for fluffy and cutesy where you want to be able to make a sandwich in the middle of a scene, then, no, this drama may not be for you.

Episode 1 is captivating. You’re pulled into the characters world, immediately. The pacing is perfect and the acting is spot on, no jarring overreacting or under reacting, which I appreciate when I want to become part of the story vs remaining a spectator of the story.
