A lighthearted, no pressure drama.

Police and detective dramas are things that are often explored in dramas, and either have a main concept which is quite dark and gritty, or they go the other way and are lighthearted dramas, good for casual viewing. This drama is more so of the latter, with a rougher, grittier storyline dotted throughout.

Personally, I enjoyed this drama as a light watch, with less pressure to focus on the technicalities. From the offset, the main male lead of the drama decides to follow a Police route, due to the fact the girl he has a crush on aims to go for that career. This helps to make the drama slightly less serious, and potentially make it more likeable and relatable as not everyone at that age is going to know which career path to go through.

Throughout the drama, relationships between all the characters are developed in an easy to watch way, adding some depth into the characters and making it easier to understand and relate to the characters.

Although the primary focus of the drama seems to be on the relationships built in the Police University, a secondary storyline which has slightly more grit and a darker stance helps to give the drama a bit more depth, and is the primary reason this is a drama worth finishing to the end. However, it is also one of the reasons this drama lacks. The darker element of the drama seems to be teased throughout the drama, but doesn't necessarily take centre stage. This leaves you with a feeling of wanting a little more, but it never really meets those expectations and seems to calm down whenever the storyline seems to pick up.

This drama is good for casual viewing, and essentially has some lost potential from the sub storyline they neglected slightly.
