Instead, you are chalking it all up to the NC scenes. The Eighth Sense and A Shoulder to Cry On are both school Bls that came out in 2023- when viewers were very tired of school Bls. They are both quite emotional and sad too. KinnPorshe is a mafia Bl and Love in the Air is a somewhat school bl, but it came out a year earlier. Both of these are far more upbeat. These shows are so wildly different genre wise too, so it feels random to compare them.
