I did not think of Israel even once while watching this drama - is it possible that it's just on your mind so much that you found meaning where there wasn't any? Netflix doesn't have a lot of influence on S. Korean productions, and S. Korea has no reason to take any side on something that has nothing to do with them. Most countries think everyone else is constantly thinking about them but this isn't the case - we're all involved in our own stuff. Please be open to the possibility that whatever symbolism you think you see may be coincidence.

I want to agree with what you said about Cha Eunwoo - I've not been a fan until this drama, but he killed it!

best season yet, lots of interesting characters and couples rather than just one or two

This drama improves greatly after the first two episodes. If you want to see if you like it or not, try 4 episodes at least.
