Rewatching this knowing that the director was telling Jihoon to act as if Suho was Sieun's first love is so devastatingly beautiful. It doesn't re-contextualize it, but it adds a certain depth to the story knowing the gravity of how important Suho is to Sieun and how much Suho is by loved him.
Mark is genuinely so regal and elegant. I don't want him to get type-casted, but he really suits powerful roles like this one and as Methas in Revamp.
I just want to see JuniorMark in darker and heavier roles like this and Midnight Museum, they're both good actors. Like people sleep on Mark's acting, he's not just a pretty face!! I've actually never seen anyone look more in love with someone than Pai does with Tim...
I think people rank it based on how much they enjoy the show rather than how it objectively compares to everything else on the website...no one takes what other shows are in the top spot when giving their personal opinion.

In my opinion all their series are pretty good but if I had to rank them: I would recommend 1. Never Let Me Go (melodrama romance), 2. Fish Upon The Sky (Coming of age romance), 3. We Are (Ensemble low-stake college Romance).
Personally I'd say other than Me and Thee, Fish Upon The Sky is my favorite I'm not sure if it's due to nostalgia or if its that good, but honestly its one of my favorite bls. However, in terms of quality and story, Never Let Me Go is better.
Aran and Tawan were truly the only flaws in this story. That being said I enjoyed the contrast between all 3 couples because RomeMok felt melancholic w/ yearning, TheePeach felt delicate and beautiful, and TawanAran gave painful and toxic.
You think Khun Thee is just funny, but he's genuinely one of the most sincere and kindhearted characters. Also I was going to lose my mind if they didn't adopt those two little kids after their first separation, but then I was like "how? they need to have have a solid life together to give these kids a good home" and the show really pulled it off beautifully.
I also love how much family we got. Genuinely seeing their families integrate into each other slowly from Peach meeting Rome to Plub meeting Khun Thee as Peach's bf, to Peach and Plum being added to the family, etc. this aspect was perfectly done.

I don't think he's a good person, he's just a an entertaining character and hasn't done wrong to He Xiu. But I agree, intention does matter and if he's doing all this helping not from his interest in her, but to annoy Xiao Zhiyu then he's essentially using her which is icky.
Sorry, you misunderstood me. I meant in other shows, rival characters are always written to be much less smart than the main characters, which makes the shows boring and is just poor writing to make the main characters look better.
But in this show, it's different because they're on even ground and they're both equally smart, so there's an actually entertaining push and pull between the ML and SML, which makes the plot outside of the romance captivating.
lmaoo I'm just joking, I just like the way the SML has been written the first 10 episodes so far. Like he's clearly not a good person, but he's not annoying. I hate it when the main characters have competition/rivals that are wayyyyy below them in terms of skill/resources just to make the main characters look good, so I'm enjoying the push and pull that's developing. Also the past of the ML and SML looks very emotionally complicated, so I'm curious to see how it'll be resolved.
I adore our main couple though and I love how much the Xiao Zhiyu has been smiling the latest episode.

Idk what he's going to do in the future, I'm just watching as the episodes play out. My opinion will change once he actually does something to FL, but for now even his problems with the ML seem to be very emotional linked to their past, so it could be something that they might solve. I even have a theory that the FL's dad's accident might be tied into the structural collapse that messed up ML and SML's lives/relationship.
Opinions evolve with the characters and that's how he currently comes across to me, at the point I'm at which is half way through ep 10 he hasn't pulled He Xiu into his beef with Xiao Zhiyu, other than asking her to join his company which she declined and he dropped. In the rain and the car scenes, it just seemed like he was helping her out from his interest of her.
