instead of writing a review of today's episode: I'm pasting messages I actually sent while watching it 😭
"Shoving his phone in his hand and saying, "less complaining, more action" is crazy 🤭 but it makes sense for ThirdWan's dynamics. They both know the worst parts of each other, so it's easy for Wan to not feel self-conscious about saying what he wants and how he feels, even if he comes across as bossy."
"watching Mr. Fanboy Ep 3 and a character hasn’t made my blood boil like this in a minuteee. like i’m just trying to enjoy my thirdwan meal stop making these happy moments filled with anxiety 😩 "
"this is ragebait, like I had to pause and take a lap around the house during the dinner scene, like you cannot be fr right now. If Third started swinging I would've cheered, because get tf out of my house!! Don't get me started on the management, third's mom, and the film crew..."
"I'm no better than a man because Save's body is so tea, all I can see is his waist and how teeny tiny it is (thirdwan in the pool)"
"the ending gagged me. by the end of this show Wan is definitely going to need therapy."
"I gotta give everyone, the crew and actors their tens because everyone who's supposed to be likable are my loves and everyone who's terrible is on my hit list. They did a good job of showing that everyone has flaws, but some are actually flawed good people and others are going to hell."
ep 10/10, my anger is 1000/10, but I'm also giggling and kicking my feet
theyre still kidsss. need 6,7 years more in future
PondPhuwin did NLMG the same age as AlmondProgress right now. A show with a complex plot and story doesn't need to be explicit and can be age appropriate. Also they can absolutely shoot guns in a drama they're acting in, because they're 17 not 12. It's like saying they can't watch NLMG or action movies either. I get that they're teenagers, but teenagers are developed enough to emotionally and mentally separate work and their real life. Of course there's boundaries they shouldn't cross when working as minors, but action and a plot like NLMG isn't one of them.
I really am gay as hell, because I'm lowkey thinking of the managers kissing more than anything this episode. The way I don't hear a single thing the managers are talking about when they're arguing and having to rewind, dmd give us a managers rivals to lovers!
This acting coach and the director are irritating me. Why would you hire someone who doesn't know anything, not teach or prepare him, or even give him more than 12 hours before the workshop, so that he could understand your demands. If you were going to be annoyed at someone with no experience asking you questions and not understanding anything, you should've chosen someone more experienced. If Wan remained silent and didn't try to clear his own confusion, he wouldn't learn a single thing. I do feel Nine and Third's frustration because it's the staff's responsibility to prepare the newbies beforehand instead of throwing the 4 of them together and wasting ThirdNine's time and energy.
Wan is actually an angel for remaining optimistic because you're not going to tell me to join the show and that it's okay if I have no experience, then get mad at me when I don't know how to actually act or understand the lingo. And instead of explaining what to do, you're just saying "I need you to act" and rolling your eyes at me.
Renji thinks everything is a fucking game, I love him 😭 the way Ryujin portrays this character makes him so funny as comic relief to the point of endearment, like the way he's participating when everyone is so serious and strict as if he's on vacation. Just a constant mischievous smile and flirtatiousness in his eyes.
I think we're losing the meanings of red flags because red-flag doesn't mean they're bad people, or evil. It means toxic people who are aware that their feelings and actions are hurting themselves and/or others. Dean and Moth are toxic when it comes to relationships. Just because Dean "never promises anything" doesn't mean his actions don't, even if he doesn't verbally promise it (that's just his cope out). It also doesn't mean he's not aware of the fact that he's playing around with people's feelings by one day dating them, another day calling them a friend, and another day acting like they're strangers. And then getting upset when they don't want to be around him on his own terms.
Moth on the other hand, is so stuck on being alone (even though he's not willing to commit to being alone) that when one person who he doesn't want to cut off shows interest, he'd rather drag out the situation and act oblivious to it, instead of cutting off the feelings immediately. Moth knows that if Pun moves on, he'd stay his best friend and would still be in his life (which is why he's doing this rn). If someone wasn't toxic and insecure, they would just be like "hey friend, I know you like me. I don't reciprocate your feelings and I don't want our longterm relationship to change" as soon as he realized what was going on, then work through the outcome. But because he's emotionally repressed, he'd rather break his heart on purpose (without Pun knowing that), not taking the burden of change or dealing with the discomfort of working for their friendship. And by dating someone instead of communicating, Pun is the one who has to silently move on without Moth being involved and Pun is the one who has to one-sidedly do the work for their friendship to be the same as a result.
Is it obvious that Moth doesn't like Pun back? yes. Pun also knows that Moth is aware of his feelings and hasn't outright rejected him yet. Feelings are irrational and someone will always have hope unless there's a clear communicative rejection.
But also saying this along side adjectives like "conventional" "Ideal" "chef's kiss/perfect" because he's small and cute? oooh the tea in the drama is already so good
More than that. I think the speciality of auau ( atleast from what i have seen in DMD Friendship) is that he is…
Just because I say he's good looking doesn't negate that he's literally one of the most talented people in DMD. Both facts can co-exist. He's also improved even more since DMD friendship, you should check out his solo Play With Me and his music and performances with Dexx, if you haven't!
Est & Auau on my Saturdays?? I'm apologizing to everyone who knows me in advance because I'm going to lose my mind. Especially Auau, I'm not even joking if I was Save you'd have to pry me off of him. I'd go to war over that face card.
"If you keep making mistakes, I won't be so nice anymore" Don't piss me off. You gave birth to him why tf is it his duty to earn your kindness?
Parents like this actually make me so mad. The child didn't choose to be born to you or to be treated like your employee, but you did choose to bring them into the world, not wanting to be a parent.
"are you single?" "no" "should we give it (dating) a try?" "there's no need" killed me lmaoo "there's no need, I can control myself" when bro is the one asking you is so funny
Does it bug anyone else how quickly the princes have fallen for her? It was basically love at first sight and…
I don't think any of the princes care about her at all other than Prince Lei and the Crown Prince. For Prince Lei, he feels like she has a sense of justice and feels indebted to her.
While the Crown Prince was following her for literal weeks and saw her kill people, save people, and adopt a cat and I think that he's very infatuated. He sees her as kind of a light that came in to his dreary life, who's made it more interesting.
We also have to remember, that regardless they have to marry for political reasons and the inherit reason why she's there in the first place is so one of princes marries her.
The story does feel very fast-paced though, so I feel like if its not done with care all the interesting parts might be in the beginning.
I like that they've made the relevant princes interesting instead of making them 2 dimensional. I really connect with the dynamic between Prince Lei and Prince Xin as they're full brothers and seem to really care for each other.
So far I really do feel for both of them as of Ep 5 because one just clearly doesn't know how to interact with others, but is doing his best and the other seems to have given on life so he's honed in on his brother's life to be fulfilled.
I love the costuming in this drama! I like that you can tell the difference of when she was wearing the outfits from the Northwest and after she arrived at the capital (though she does keep some her previous ornaments and jewelry a little). Regardless, the embroidery and color schemes of all the costumes are so cohesive. I really like both leads and Prince Lei's distinctive styles.
