ok, I just finished episode 10 and I'm actually really enjoying the story and the show. I like how quickly the story is pacing and for some reason I keep getting TTEOTM vibes with the evil dark Lord looming in the memories. atp idk why the show got so much hate. I kept looking for the awful CGI that I heard about and didn't see anything out of the ordinary when it comes to these kinds of shows. in fact I have seen xanxias with worse CGI. granted I'm only on ep 11 now with 22 more to go so things could get bad. but as of right now I'm really enjoying the story. SWL is definitely carrying the show, but I'm also really liking the 2ML as well.

you're so right. it is the same story almost word for word. except the budget is clearly lower on BCL compared to HD. ZBX definitely looks way more handsome in HD. so I'm glad they did the upgrade.

I agree the story was all over the place in the end. the fL found out she was pregnant, made dinner, got kidnapped and then gave birth all in one day. then they have enough sense to tell us there is a six year time jump before our couple sees each other again. the ML is supposed to be blind which is how he works the FL back and then the next day he can see again and no one acknowledges that he can see now. the story finally started to get interesting with the brother as he explained how the ML survived w/o his dragon heart and then it just ends. I needed more eps after that plot point. but we don't get any. this is one of Chen Si's worst performances IMO that I have seen.

I agree with all of the other commenters about the FL actress. her performance was not up to level with Chen Si. I noticed his micro-expressions are so good. I'm ok with the toxicity bc I love a fire breathing red flag in my vertical dramas. however there were even some moments in the show that made my blood boil and almost stop watching. but I endured. I may be alone here but I didn't like the ending. it didn't make any sense.

this was my second Korean vertical drama after watching dozens of Chinese dramas. I have to say this was definitely one of the better produced vertical drama I have seen which is why I rated it so high. the storyline was basic and the FL and ML had zero chemistry but they each acted their roles pretty well. it was nice to see good wardrobes and different kinds of cars in a vertical drama for a change.

Same the bruises really kept taking me out of the drama sometimes. To the point where I too want to look up what's up with all of the bruises. I have seen her in another drama and am trying to remember if she had the same thing going on in that one.

Also the airpod on her ear clearly for the sake of directions or lines was too evident in the later eps. Which left me wondering how busy and quick this filming schedule must have been.

I enjoyed this one. it's my third Chen Si drama. I have to admit I still prefer him when he is unhinged and possessive. although this was a nice change of pace to see him be tender and sweet.

agreed I ate this up as well. the ML obsession and possessiveness was great tv. but whenever I allowed my brain to turn back to IRL I would scream at the screen that he's going past her consent. but then I would turn my brain back off and think he's sexy as heck

This was a fun break from my normal watchlist. I love how it kept to just the main plot whereas if this was a typical format drama it could have the same storyline but then give me other characters and their stories etc. sometimes I do just want to know about the main couple and that's it. This was my first vertical drama and it was a fun 90 mins

I thought the same thing repeatedly and then let it go and enjoyed the ride. It's not supposed to make sense once you accept it then it's so much fun. The same thing happened with me while watching study group last year which was one of my favorite 2025 shows. Once I understood that the show was supposed to be exactly like the webtoon and not realistic then I enjoyed it and had so much fun

I came just to say the actor playing Ju Gang Chan needs more roles. I have to see him on my screen more. He's so hot 🔥🔥.
He reminds me of the actor who played in the Glory as the father of the little girl/husband to the SFL. He was a more seasoned actor that also looked way too good in a suit and needed to be on our screens more as well.

Moon lovers is my GOAT kdrama. It was the first one I thought about when I mentioned the eclipse. A lot of times it takes a celestial phenomenon and almost always water. They fall in the water while the phenomenon is taking place 😆

exactly. I thought this was well shown in the first episode. They literally showed that the soul was down under the water on the bridge and that she merged with the princess when she fell under the water and landed on the same bridge under the twin moon.
maybe it's because I have watched way too many transmigrations and rebirth dramas etc. that whenever they show some kind of phenomenon in the sky eg eclipse, comets, twin or blood moons etc that means someone has body swapped, time traveled, jumped realities been reborn etc

great question. till the end of the moon is my favorite. I love the angst of Tantai Jin. I've rewatches it three times.

I just finished watching ep 30 and found myself thinking of LLTG several times in the past two eps. Lol and behold it's the same writer as LLTG. There are definitely some shared undertones in themes and character motivation. I totally see part of my favorite general Ling Bui in Xi Zheng. LLTG is my 2nd favorite c-drama and I wonder if PoJ is going to be able to reach that same level of perfection. Ten more episodes for me to find out.

I absolutely loved everything about this drama. The song from the OST that plays whenever our leads are having a moment will live rent free in my head for the next six months. I smiled so much in the last ten minutes of this episode that my face actually hurt. It's so rare the a drama sticks the landing for me. And this one totally did.
I don't have any issues with them not showing more of them in the present, bc I felt like the ML/FL brought more of their presents selves to their final moments together in the book. By using each other's real names and speaking about how they would be in the real world.

Other transmigration stories left me feeling like I had to have more in the present world like a dream within a dream or when Destiny brings the demon or guardians of the dafeng. But this one didn't do that to me
