I'm also watching this series rn with 7 eps down but from the ep synopsis that I have read the other guy in the end falls in love with FL and tries to help her though the ML realising his feelings for fl is in 19th and 20th ep.

I can't with the foolishness and cowardice of xiaoqiao's maternal family. (I'm watching 7th ep btw)

As someone who has read the novel I feel excited about this!

It's because you asked my opinion but watching ter and Hill's story almost made me want to give up on the series when it was airing but then north and johan's story started so I continued watching. If you end up not liking ter and hill's story too then just skip directly to north and johan's. Both north and johan's character is well made so it's worth watching them.

Personally I liked johan x north and fah x phoon's story more than hill x ter and arthit x dao but I still think it is worth watching especially the uncut version of fah and phoon's story.

I liked this story until ep 7 and 8. The sudden dramatic turn in ep 7 felt very cliche and that ruined it for me.

This can be watched standalone but it's more fun to watch all the stories of this series cause the dynamics between the friend groups is really fun to watch.

Their kisses are not kisses at all! They just touch lips and call it a kiss. Still this story is good if you just skip fl being embarassed/embarassing in front of her crush. I watched it for fl and ml's story and enjoyed it a lot.

Why would wei yan want to kill xie zheng? It's understandable that he wanted to kill changyu and ningning but I didn't understand why he wanted to kill xie zheng?

Yeah I actually never focused on this point that as a person who has read the story from his perspective I can understand why he did the things he did but so many viewers out there won't understand that and would think of him only as a disgusting and cruel villian. Actually rather than showing those intimate scenes they could have filled in the audience more about his background and mentality. It would have added depth to his character and would have left us viewers feeling bittersweet about his death in the end and would have also added depth to the overall plot which would be remembered by the audience than the cliche psycho, morally corrupt villian

Li huai'an meeting qi min in ep 32 is making me feel scared that huai'an might become a villian in the end😭

I skipped the part where the princess confronts him and he kills her because it felt disgusting. It was disgusting to see how they showed him so unreasonably twisted when he is a reasonably twisted character.

I was puzzled why princess changxin is shown as a good person in the series while in the novel she is just a typical stepmother from historical era towards qi min. I figured out that the director/ script writer must have done it because they wanted to highlight qi min's villainous nature and character. I find it a bit unacceptable cause no person was good or kind towards qi min that's why he turned into a villian now it feels absurd.

I was scared for the same reason too especially because I heard that in the novel he has redemption arc or something like that so I was afraid that they would show him as a villian in the series but when he said that changyu and him are sworn brother and sister I felt really sad but also very proud of him. He didn't let his feelings ruin her reputation😭

I have fallen in love with li huai'an😭. Not just his character but actor as well! He is so handsome I hope he gets a role of male lead in a good series.

The scene where prince changxin imagines changyu's father standing infront of him while giving changyu hand to give him a final blow and then is reminded of how desperately her father came to him in the past to ask for help and in the end with the sword thrusted deeper in his chest I felt like he bowed in defeat infront of changyu and her father. It was such a moving scene!

Wah! Changyu is so cool! Throughout her fight scene I was on edge and the way she dealt the last blow to prince changxin was incredible!

No what I mean is in ep 29 he tells her so many things but while gongsun yin asks her how much she knows about qi min and his past or the truth from past incident she tells him vague things that's why I feel frustrated.
