Of course there's not much of ml's fighting scenes at the start cause he is heavily injured but when he does take action he does look like war veteran. I instead got so frustrated when he fought as he was still recovering even though a fight was inevitable. In the end he got heavily injured again. And in my opinion it's not slow, the people who are saying it's slow just want ML's identity to be uncovered quickly, they are not interested in the story at all and the people who are saying that leads aren't getting much screen time are talking about recent eps but the story of second leads is also important for the main plot so I don't get why people are whining so much. Anyways the people who are enjoying this series are more than people who are complaining hence the rating. I recommend you to watch it but in the end it's up to you if you want to watch.

Actually I feel a bit bad for qi min. Not many can be unfazed seeing their father and mother die horribly one after other. His burn marks made him feel inferior and ugly like a monster. The nanny who told him to trust only her when he was a kid never actually treated him sincerely, she just wanted to preserve the crown prince's bloodline so that he could claim throne one day and if he couldn't then his son could. She forbid him from learning martial arts and made him go through hellish pain to repair his burnt skin cause an ugly monster can't claim throne. Everyone around him just wanted to use him and gradually he grew up twisted, not knowing how to love or be tender towards the one he loves so the first time he felt warmth and didn't dislike it he couldn't treat her well, people around him only taught him how to control and make use of others. He died in the hands of the person who made him feel warm for the first time after his mother's death and realised that in the end only his mother truly loved him the most in the world.

I dislike qi min's cruelty but I also dislike nanny lan, she just wanted to control him and never truly cared about him but in the series she acts all blameless.

Cause their part is important for the further plot😭

Bro if you want to complain about excessive spamming then complain about it directly cause if you talk about second leads getting 'overhyped' and main leads not getting any attention at all then I don't see that as a truth or fact cause that's just your opinion (and your friends opinion). In your eyes people are overhyping second leads but as a part of casting and a part of drama their fans have every right to hype or 'overhype' but complaining about spamming the same comment is completely different things, this kind of spamming happens in every other cdrama comment section on mdl and yes it might be annoying but there's nothing that can be done about it cause you can't control people so mostly many choose to ignore it. Your comments seem to indicate that second leads doesn't deserve recognition and everyone should only focus on main leads, that's why I have been arguing. But since it's about unnecessary spamming then for your peace of mind my suggestion is to just ignore it.

Before whenever I came here I have seen the discussion about the main leads scenes and I didn't see people bringing up second leads inbetween the discussion about the main leads while as I have said the recent two eps were more about second lead couple so maybe that's why you keep seeing more discussion about them. I would think that some people are doing it deliberately if they did it since the entry of qi min but it's only now I have seen people talking more about second lead couple so in my opinion it's because these two eps had more of their screen time. Also people hyping qi min and you qianqian have their own opinion just like your opinion is that people are overhyping them. I just want to say chill and enjoy the series. I think I have said everything I wanted to say so I won't be arguing anymore.

Honestly that scene even though acted well is without context for those who have not read the novel so I don't think many people truly understand the sadness and weight behind it. Also there are people who appreciate asthetic more than the meaning behind the scene itself, viewers are all kind of people, they watch whatever they like and then talk about it. Of course you or the original commentator aren't wrong as well in my opinion but I don't find appreciating the beauty of the scene like the way qi min and you qianqian's get up and make up was done, the way they acted and the way the scene was taken. It's just that some people might think deeply about it some might not.

Bro this is a discussion section so naturally there will be people coming and saying whatever they want to say as long as it's related to the drama but that doesn't mean that main leads are not being appreciated just like you said that they are carrying the series from ep 1 so how can the second leads truly ever overshadow the main leads? Also there's not even meant to be chemistry between second leads as qi min doesn't even know what love is and you qianqian is afraid of him so if you don't feel the chemistry then they are doing a great job cause it's indeed about lust, it's meant to be about lust. But I can also see why some people are liking second lead's obsessive story cause there are many such chinese and dark fantasy stories where the tyrant is cruel and psychotic but obsessed with their lover. Some people hate such stories but some people like such stories and genres. Personally I don't like qi min's cruelty or obsession or such dark stories but if the scene and acting is impactful then yes I will praise them.

I did see people talking about the coin scene when the ep was released and now the lastest ep released is mostly about sui yuanhuai and yunqianqian and that's why many people are talking about them. As a second leads don't they deserve to be talked about? They work hard too but have less screen time so shouldn't they be appreciated when they do appear on screen?

Trust me it's really very worth to watch this series. It has everything action, drama, emotion. There's secret identity as well as other secrets to be uncovered. It keeps you hooked and not let you want to miss even a second of the story. Also the production and casting is amazing so it's a visual feast plus the female lead is a strong character unlike the typical weak setting of fls. There's a bit of comedy, and a balance of heavy and light scenes so it's heartwarming as well as heartbreaking but it would keep you wanting to watch more. I highly recommend you to watch it!

Ngl the ending 15 or so mins of ep 21 were beautiful. I was mesmerized by deng kai and snow's acting, beauty as well as the overall scene. It was really amazing.

I don't think that would have been the case cause with the war situation going on in their country no place would be peaceful. Sui yuanqing would have came to lin'an and still would have massacred under the identity of wei xuan cause he is a lunatic and there won't be changyu or xie zheng to save the common people's grains, life and money. I just think that those people's doom was inevitable if not earlier then later.

I think she is still better cause even though changyu killed her brother she didn't treat changning roughly or poorly.

In my opinion, it's an abuse only if she thinks it's an abuse. It's not like she slapped him or screamed at him but was left dazed that means she was charmed and fell for him because he defeated her.

I instead want him to be serious about the new girl in the end and direct his obsession in the right direction instead of changyu which would make him more likable.
