Baicha reminds of the SMLs in dramas like Rebirth for You or First Female Student drama....I guess this was a trend 4 years ago, it's outdated and illogical but understandable since this was originally filmed in 2021-22

I love how the whole giving-her-memory-water-to-bring-back-her-memories thing backfired so badly on bai cha. The following scenes are the sweetest and so romantic. So well performed by HYX and LXY.

I actually like the ML in this drama. Earlier I thought he was a bit boring because in the recent years , the trend has been to show the villainous character as the ML and in comparison the ML here is too goody goody. But over the episodes, I've seen that he's just, sincere, honest, loyal and sensible. Although he's very powerful, he's still humble. Also, the most importantly, he's fair. He gives praise, judgement and even punishment in a fair manner. He actually actually acts like a god.

True and it's just blind hate so it's actually pointless. Your love for your fave is not going to change the past and raining hate down on other people is not going to help their case smh. Fanwars are so pointless I'm sometimes glad that my faces are not traffic actors 😂😂

And actually fans on mdl are at least civil (I don't know about the fans of traffic stars but for others, they are civil). Weibo is like stan twt, things are cray cray over there 😂

That's what I mean, it's personal preference and at least, you're reasonable in your response. Blind hate comments have no justification, whatever their reason. Especially when not only the FL but the entire cast and crew are blameless in whatever happened. It's a business at the end of the day and, of course, the drama would want to earn their money back. It's sad that social media has become a space to show immaturity and spew hate comments related to people's looks. Reasonably and politely disagreeing while stating your opinion is okay. It's sad that so many people don't know that. And in fact, HYX had to work even harder as she didn't have the co stars or set designs to help her acting like the original cast would've had. So she had to work extra hard to bring out her acting and characterization and this is actually her pure talent that lets her attempt such a feat and actually making it watchable.

Currently the hashtag about HYX shooting all alone in front of the green screen has 5 million views on weibo. Naturally, some haters are not happy about the recognition and appreciation HYX is getting and are using this as an excuse to spew even more hate on her. I hope she remains strong through this. She has done well as HN but I hope she gets even better roles and shuts up all these haters with her superior acting.

OMG remind me never to visit weibo again. Some of the discussion some dedicated fans are having over there made me lose some of brain cells lol. HYX is finally getting some recognition for all the hardwork she has put in for this drama, which was not an easy task at all. And of course some people are not liking that she's getting appreciated for her role as HN. God, the hate and bad comments people are spewing on weibo is mind boggling to me. I hope HYX is being kept far away from such comments and continues to remain strong.
And I agree, I much prefer this HN. It's my personal preference but I like HYX's aesthetics and acting skills more. Some hairstyles of the mortal realm really don't suit the original actress, making her seem almost bald near her forehead. But these preferences are subjective and I'm glad that HYX is able to show her better acting.

This is the only YSX drama that I've been able to complete (apart from A love so romantic, in which she is SFL), probably because she doesn't use her high pitched baby voice in both these dramas. Also, the way her character was treated by the script, she is almost relegated to playing second fiddle to the ML and SFL, almost seeming to be the SFL herself.I think it benefitted from binge watching rather than chasing as I was not as frustrated with GZY's character as others seemed to be. However, it cannot be denied that the leads were far outshined (in both characterization and acting) by GSJ, GYZ, SQ, GZS and JF. I even loved the back hill boys more than the leads. Overall, it was a good ride but weighed down by too much melodrama, slo mo, obvious twists and characters which were being shown as clever but were rather dumb and bland (like ML, FL and later even SFL)

Also, I was not prepared for that Joseph Zeng cameo. It came out of nowhere and surprised me so I have to give that to the drama.

The original actress got into a tax evasion scandal. Hence, all her projects were shelved for 4 years. They got a new FL for this drama and reshot scenes with her for 2 months and that's how this drama was able to come out.
It's a good drama, I recommend it. HYX is amazing as HN and even though it was refilmed, the chemistry between the leads is really good.

I guess we needed those filler episodes to establish the love story of the leads (and even second leads) in this lifetime. If they had done it quickly, it would have had a whiplash effect and I personally would not have bought the renewing of their relationship in this lifetime. After ep 19, it makes sense to me.
