She has been getting a lot of magazine shoots. And while I'm happy for her for that, I really want to see her get signed for a new drama as female lead.
she was so pretty in Moon lovers. She looks quite aged now like in her late 30s or early 40s...
Yes this is the first time it's so obvious to me that an actress had work done. Her nose and mouth looks so different. She was definitely prettier in moon lovers and in her SNSD music videos.
I hope this is better than TPOB , that drama had a lot of plotholes.
To each their own I guess. For me, the plot started out great but quickly devolved into any generic romcom with a meandering plot that kept looping in their domestic life. The deaths of the villains were funnily written and directed, the characters were inconsistent in their motivations and the politics was laughable. The acting was okay but the FL's acting did not work for me. The best thing about the drama was its styling, makeup and hair because they all look beautiful in it.
A curious question, what genre are these two dramas you are mentioning and excited about? I am looking forward…
Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, Love and Destiny, A moment but forever (the screenwriter for LAD and AMBF are the same as Feud, which baffles me because the level of philosophical commentary and debates she has posed in both the dramas is such a big contrast to dramas like Feud) , LBFAD (although I dropped that dramas since I couldn't stand the overly forced cuteness and high pitched baby voice of the FL, the logic for all their actions and motivations of the characters was quite solid at the script level), Chinese Paladin, etc. When I say logic, I don't mean that the fantasy aspect should be compromised. In essence, flying out of nowhere or conjuring a weapon out of nowhere, that's all par for the course for xianxia. But the logic of the flow of events, from reason to thought to action, should definitely be there. Like why a character is feeling/doing as they are or something is being done to them by other characters/environment. All of this should be explained at the script/direction/performance level. In a way that's showing us, not telling us.

I have seen a similar comment about "xianxias being meant to be illogical" somewhere down there, and I beg to differ. Even though they're technically "fantasy", they're still governed by basic logic of interactions, characterization, motivation and reason. There are so many xianxia dramas that follow this logic and also give us great philosophical commentary about the gods, mortals and the heavenly realm. That is how it should be, I think we should not be so quick to forgive illogical plots just because it's a xianxia drama. Reason and causality should be even more important in xianxia dramas as they deal with gods and morality and what is right and wrong.
I was out here religiously defending this drama like a loyal fangirl on a mission, but now? Sis, after 25% of…
Hehe good to see you here too. I remember your humourous comments kept me entertained on TPOB page too (although I dropped that mess at ep 21 and haven't been there since). I think I will be dropping this one too but I do enjoy your fun comments hehe.

Yes earlier they also did not have good resources and had to play sfl or very obscure dramas. But now they're moving forward with their career. It does depend on backing but it's also something a decently good agency can manage, especially when HYX herself always gets good praises for her acting. There are many like Li Vanda, like Bao Sheng En and Zhang Miao Yi.... they're getting great scripts inspite of being quite new.
I seriously think HYX should just dump her current useless agency. She’s not progressing but just merely maintaining…
True , other actresses who also don't have good resources and backing or great agencies, even they spent many years playing sfl or tfl but now they're getting good lead roles with really good ML's too, like Dai Lu Wa or Xu Rou Han. HYX is not progressing but actually regressing. From FL to SFL to TFL and now to Guest roles in Glory, Rebirth and Hidden Shadow. This agency is so useless, they don't even understand the basics of promoting their artist
Feel so bad for her agency, seem like doesn’t support her at all everything she did by her own
True there are so many young and kind of mediocre actresses who are getting scripts for very high budget and high profile dramas even without a lot of experience. It's mind boggling

She debuted in 2017 I think and generally these contracts tend to be of 10 years period. Don't know what will happen, I hope she gets good work going forward.
