It simply took Shiyi a while to notice his feelings for her, but he started liking her as far back as senior year…
You're right, the strength of this drama is in its details. All the characters have realistic motivations and agency. Even in the case of Xiaoju, she has always been physically more comfortablr with Shiyi... She is always holding his arm or his clothes. She even continues to think about him and how to cure him even when she is heartbroken about cheng lang and lin you. She thinks about bringing him chicken wings made by her mom. She always tidies up his clothes.....all these small details have been perfectly and subtly embedded in the drama and that's what makes them meaningful
It’s a common trope used by writers in China. Now that they can’t refer the novel anymore the writers just…
The whole punishment aspect is so unnecessary... We could've gotten a meaningful confession from Xiaoju if shiyi hadn't done what he did. I am just so confused why he decided to go about testing her like this. My only conclusion is that now he has become a bit guarded and wishes to avoid heartbreak again. We do stupid things when we become jaded in love.
Judging from the trailers and the scenes in the advertisements, these are the contents of the last few episodes:33-…
What do you mean by doormat again? When has he ever been a doormat? I don't know about you but to me Shiyi is the most realistically dominant character I've ever come across. He exudes so much alpha male energy that he is the opposite of a pushover. Even with Xiaoju, he goes into full on pushy mode once he actually starts chasing her as a potential love interest. They're both stubborn and Shiyi especially goes after something he wants with his whole heart and does not accept defeat (case in point, when he got blood phobia, he didn't give up medicine) So i think it's pretty consistent with his character development if he doesn't give up till the very end.
One of the kiss between the main leads in the cinema hole was actually xiao ju's imagination. Tao said her to…
They also have one more kiss scene when she is feeding him the chips but that was cut from the drama, i saw it on billibilli.... It's a really cute scene, they should've kept it.
Shiyi confessed but was rejected and he never gave up. Those scenes of fake date were really hilarious. I thot…
I actually really love ep 30....there are moments when Xiaoju looks at Shiyi in such a special way, like there is so much emotion in her eyes. I still loved the progression of 28-32 ..... I think 33-36 will be an emotional rollercoaster... I've already skimmed through the remaining episodes because i just couldn't wait 😭
Sorry but I disagree! Shi yi doesn't even tell her that he loves HER . He just told her that he does not love…
You really like the basketball girl? I found her to be clingy and annoying. She lies to ShiYi twice to get him to meet her, once for practice and once she uses Xiaoju to ask him out. I don't like those qualifies in a person, i really hope he doesn't end up with her.
Hi, Do you have any news if her drama with xu kai cheng is confirmed?
I was not that impressed with XKC's acting. Despite being a new comer, HYX outshone him in the acting dept. I hope she gets paired up with other actors too.
I love one of their live stream where they were asked to draw LSY after 10 years . Richard Wang drew a picture…
I just saw his drawing again and what even more adorable is the fact that he drew them with their proper height difference..... Aaah they're so cute, my heart <3
Exactly, i was a bit dissapointed for the fact that there was very few bts especially the MC. This is one of the…
Youku really sucks at promotion. I have not seen even one interview of the main leads together. They've only had livestreams with multiple cast members. They should realise that people are going crazy about their chemistry and would wish to see them interact even off screen. Dumb Youku. :(
But I can't understand what they're saying. Actually, I am a little salty about the fact that we didn't get to see a lot of their off screen interactions.
It will finish airing all the subbed episodes next week. The slow burn that lasts through the entire series is…
Aaah yeah, I do remember. I think if you view it in the same way as Reply 1988, as story of 5-6 friends and the trials and tribulations of their youth, then maybe it'd be more palatable to you. But the thing is, the lead actors have such brilliant chemistry, that you can't help but be invested in their story (at least I was) and focus more on it. Maybe you'll fare better once you marathon through all the episodes once it finishes airing. This drama also introduced me to some amazing actors, I was particularly impressed by Shiyi and Letao. Hu Yi Xuan, who olays Xiaoju, is anyway my favorite chinese actress ever. Overall, the cast is the strongest I've seen in chinese youth dramas, acting wise.
Yes, those are the parts I feel inadequate too - the last 2 or 3 episodes.
True, how can he still be this immature at 27 , i just don't understand lol. In contrast, they've shown Xiaoju to be professional, calm, efficient and an all rounded mature personality. It is only when LSY gets back into the picture again that her emotions go haywire and we see the flarings of her younger personality of losing her temper and just being all over the place. I love these characters anyway, I like their strengths and flaws but I wish they had not done LSY this disservice of showing him to be the same immature and prickly person even as a grown up.
Lazy writing indeed lets just squeeze everything in ep 35&36 and make it a happy ending lmao such cliche plot
Plus the physical separation did not help. At no point was she physically away from CL in those 27 episodes. But in case of LSY, the separation also made for a lot of losses between them.
This is my favorite bts video, some deleted scenes are shown. But they're mere crumbs :(
