There's a reason fantasy/fiction genre exists. Don't tire your mind by trying to fit logic and scientific theories into a fantasy drama. Just enjoy it and move on. idk.. Usually, I dont watch cdramas because of annoying female characters. They are eye candies, no doubt about that but I rarely come across any good acting skills. I dont blame the actresses, it's the script and meaningless dialogues at fault.

Even if his character was wronged he still can't use it as a justification to massacre a whole city. He just recieved retribution at the end and gladly accepted it, that was very admirable of him. Even Lan Jue was wronged and lost everything as a kid but he didn't use that as reason to go on a killing spree. I was totally satisfied that in the end everyone got what they deserved.
