Good point! Totally agree on this one, I also think that village chief’s story is longer than expected. I think it would be better even if they focus on Ji PD and Writer Wang relationship haha. Now that you say it, it does feels abit of a pity but oh well, we shall see how it goes for the last 2 episodes.

Actually loved that it seems darker than I expected. It is a healing drama.
The darker the show, the better the healing.

Yep i get what you mean but there are chances that it might gets draggy as well if they do it in ep 11,12. Furthermore i really liked the impact ep 14 has and it might not be as good if they do it step by step. What we are most likely worried is that the wrapping up could be rushed but we wouldn’t know yet, since so far all the scenes are cleverly written and placed. Screenplay is great so i doubt it will be bad (I hope it will not be bad).

How good is this show as of episode 6? Is it worth watching?

Wholesome and supportive side characters as always.
Loved the relationship and chemistry between Ji PD and Writer Wang.
Loved Hye Jin’s way of communicating and her honesty.
Really on-the-fence regarding Hwa Jeong x Yeong Guk relationship, I am truly unsure whether he really realises he loves her or whether he just becomes a better man out of guilt and compassion. Would like to hear your thoughts.
Pretty important detail that we finally know that Doo Shik was working for an asset management company.
Anyways who do you all think the lottery winner is and how will it link up? Is it still maybe the policeman?

Hmm interesting viewpoint, i didn’t really interpreted it that way.
I thought the show highlighted well the contrast of caringness or attentiveness of different couples. Hwa Jeong & Yeong Guk shows inattentiveness of the husband while Yun Kyung x Geum Chul shows the husband being inconsiderate (shoe-lace incident). However, we can see Hye Jin being relatively attentive towards Doo Shik and Doo Shik being really understanding and considerate of others including knowing that Hye Jin is still slightly self-conscious of others so he agrees to golf with her friends and did his best to somehow show that he is “a good catch and worthy” of Hye Jin. Admittedly, Hye Jin might seems “flawed, materialistic and places importance on prestige” but Doo Shik and we all know that what truly matters is that deep down she is truly kind and warm-hearted. Furthermore, we can certainly sees that she is improving throughout the show and I find her “imperfectness” raw and real which is beautiful to me. We can see how throughout episode 13 she is trying to get Doo Shik to open up about his past, and I don’t see it as her wanting to move back to Seoul but more of her trying to know about Doo Shik’s pasts through this context. She wants to know him on a deeper emotional level. I know some might feel she is being too forceful and oblivious about Doo Shik’s trauma (that she is somehow to an extent aware of) but I hope you all can see it in the perspective that she truly is deep in love with Doo Shik and we can see from the previous episodes of her cheesy loving actions about how she literally shares everything and pour her love openly without filter. I feel that this is something that is not easy to do as it makes you feel bare naked and vulnerable at the end of the day, she’s literally all-in. So thats why I can see how she feels insecure and unfair that Doo Shik is not willing to open up to her. She was being considerate and wasn’t mad at Doo Shik at all throughout and even after “exploding”, she spoke in a gentle tone and was being tender honestly. I think the way we comprehend things are different. I don’t think i see it as a “you have changed” reprimanding harsh type of response,
“Why are you turning into someone else? Why are you drifting away? Why are you becoming a stranger? I don’t know who you are anymore. I don’t understand you.”
It might sounds abit harsh when you read the dialogues but the way she says the lines matters alot and from the acting it screams more of “I want to know you more and I can be understanding of whatever happens in your past” to me. Also, I don’t think Doo Shik is hurt by her questions or comments, from his phenomenal acting with “Me neither. I don’t know either.”, it conveys more on his face that he is more hurt that he himself truly wants to open up but is really unable to. It is spoken in a resignation tone.
Anyways a great scene to me, and I hope this open up a new perspectives for some people and you will view it differently in the following episodes.

Really loved the switch from the “cheesy head over heels slightly self-conscious of others Hye Jin” to the “matured Hye Jin”. Final scene of episode 13 was perfectly executed honestly and props to Hye Jin for being so candid yet rationale such that it does not come off as too commanding or forceful. I think she handled the situation really well and healthily as communications in a relationship is really important and I rather not see them break off due to miscommunications instead. Of course, phenomenal acting by both of them. Totally stole the show.
