Idk, I feel like every drama nowadays needs to have a crime/thriller subplot and I'm tired of that. I want to…
That's so true. One thing that took me out of the drama 'Summer Strike' was this. Why can't they tell a simplistic feel good story? Why do everything has to be so complicated? I am here for Mok ha's journey through the world after 15 years of isolation. I don't even care if it didn't have any romance. I just wanted to see her overcome the difficulties she faces and becoming as singer as she always wanted. But here everything seems to be happening so conveniently easy for her. Feel like her journey already concluded and the main focus is now on kiho and his family.
Male lead only has one facial expression. His acting is mid. Couldn’t stand him in shooting star although he…
That's probably he's getting casted for the same type of roles over and over again. I watched 3 dramas with him as ML and everyone of them has similar personalities.
The drama had been really screwed over by scheduling. Most people who were initially interested in this moved on to other dramas. Most people won't wait around when you have new dramas releasing every other week. It's sad because I like this so far though.
After watching the 5 episodes, I honestly find the story mediocre. There is nothing gripping about it as of now. Only thing going for this drama are the cast and acting. I hope it succeeds but not counting my chickens...
I guess the writers weren't smart enough find solutions for the problems they themselves created. They clearly pushed themselves into a corner here. Most of the viewers were enjoying this drama because it was light-hearted/old school comedy/rom-com. Nobody knows what was going through the writers mind when they decided to change it into a melodrama in the second half. These writers should just stick to a genre. Mixing genres will only divide the fandom and leave everyone unsatisfied at the end. So many korean dramas are doing this nowadays. After a positive start most of them can't stick the landing.
the ML deserve someone better.the FL is a red flag…
I like how her character was written in this drama even though I though she was not an ethical person when it comes to her love life. I didn't like how she was ready to use the poor noble guy in order to make the guy she actually likes. And I didn't like how she tried sway the guy who is engaged to her best friend who is an actual angel. But it's part of her character. She's flawed in her views of love and so is the ML. I also hope ML finds someone else and start a new chapter. And FL finds happiness with her family and friends. These two are better to be going on each of their own ways.
Not every lovestory has a happy ending. Not every lovestosy has to be about fate or destiny. Some love stories are born out of the circumstances. Most of us has experienced the heartbreak of a breakup. But it doesn't have to be the end. Love can be found in the most unexpected and peculiar places. Hope both of them move on from each other and find happiness in something new.
