no. taking the clan name does not kean they're blood related. Those generals who served under Xie Zheng was also "Xie". That doesn't mean they're related. Chang Yu's father served under Wei Yan naturally took the "Wei" coan name.

yeah. whole thing about her reincarnating as his cousin in the alternate history post credit ending was stupid. they could have just shown the lives of other characters after 5 years. like the princess and the strategist, what happened to li wenkan, ning and baoer still being close, life of jin yuanbao and friends. this was stupid. But didn't bother me much because i got to see Qi Min as a completely different person if the tragedy didn't happen 17 years ago.

And that annoying split screen editing in every call. Pissing me off. 😭

I know we watch these dramas knowing that there will be some cliches. But this feels like a new low just cliche dumping one scene after another. I thought at first it was trying to be intentionally over the top to make fun of the cliches.

What is this.... I am 30 minutes into the first episode.. Almost every scenes are phone calls...and the annoying editing too. I love CWS and JSM but man this whole thing feels like a scam.

This drama was a whole bunch of cliched nothing burgers. I will watch it because I love the actors. But other than that there is nothing in it that we haven't seen before. Feels like it was written by an AI.

Actors and the writing carried this drama. You can see the non existent budget throughout the series. But this drama is a proof that good story telling doesn't necessarily need a big budget or packed cast. Loved it. ❤️

The best decision I made was to wait for the drama to end and binge all episodes at once. It would've been painful to wait each week for the next episodes. I avoided anything about this drama and went into it blind. Loved every second of it. ❤️

Ending felt really abrupt.

This is very well made drama with mediocre writing. Direction, Art, Set and Character designs are really outstanding. Actors did a very good job with what they are given. The story and dialogue are really uninspired to be honest.

One of the best drama to come out this year. Glad I didn't change my mind halfway through because of the ratings. This drama knew exactly what it was and stuck with it till the end rather than confusing the audience with unnecessary conflicts which seems to be the trend these days. If you're looking for a sweet, and heartfelt drama, definitely should give this one a try. Don't mind the ratings.
