I wrote my annoyance but as usual, I got attacked, so I dropped the show and never went back to that comment section again. Nowadays, if I don't like a show, I write exactly why I don't like it, then I'll drop it and not linger in that comment section. Sometimes, I can't be bothered to say anything at all.

I also dropped TopForm after episode 7 cos I hated how Johnny got away with it with the excuse that he's untouchable due to his connections.
Yet, next minute, the show is trying to cast Johnny in a better light with the shipper moment. Nah, I was disgusted. I expected better from the show and for SA to stop being used only as a plot device to "push the two leads closer"
Even my love for Akin and Jin could not make me keep watching. This is 2025. My patience for certain trope has runned out.

For me, I think it's really important for BLs to portray the different dynamics and facets of the gay relationship instead of focusing on the same old tropes. It's why I really like ship pairs that breaks these stereotypes. Although, fans still try their best to box them into the same weird heteronormative dynamics.

I also would like to see portrayal where a person would fall in love and not lose themselves. I understand the need to rely on your lover but BLs overdo it with the overprotection and infantilization trope.
Thankfully, Jun at least can stand up for himself.

And like you, I dropped Fourever You Project. At first, I tried my best to go through the first eps of Ter/Hill story but I got sick and tired of it due to the following: 1) Ter won't stop talking in a hyperactive and nasal voice. 2)Ter stopped being a friend to North and became a shipper. 3) North started losing himself to fall into the trope of "being at the mercy of the rich handsome young lead. The debt and debtor trope here robbed me the wrong way and I couldn't ship them cos it felt like North was being manipulated and forced into a relationship with Johan. I wasn't convinced North had feelings for him".
The way I rolled my eyes. I've seen that trope multiple times, and unless it's portrayed in an interesting way (to me), I wasn't gonna waste my time watching it.

I can understand Jun's brother because he sort of raised him, although I do hope there's a limit to him treating Jun like a baby, afterall, everyone has got to live their own lives and gain valuable life experiences.

Totally get what you mean. Whilst I might occasionally call my favourite "my baby", it's usually in an affectionate way that doesn't take away their individuality and autonomy regardless of the role they play in their shows but I cringe so hard when I see the creepy way most BL fans calls these passive characters "their babies" because of the way they use it and the statements that usually follows it.

They always act like the receivers are damsels in distress who can't think on their own and they treat the tops like big bad wolves.
This is also why a lot of them prefer the stereotypical BL dynamics of Big/masculine/muscular/bad-attitude/abusers/domineering tops and small/tiny/petite/cutrsy/feminine receivers who they can baby as much as they want. They don't treat these receiver characters like "men. "
Makes me wonder if this is how these BL fans see women too. Like some helpless/docile/weak creatures that can't think on their own.
Sadly, many of these BL fans themselves are women with internalised misogyny which they have carried over into BLs.

When I tell you Im speechless at the way people just throw words around these days, I'm not joking.
That was how I became speechless when someone accused a vampire of being a pdf simply because he's way older than his love interest in the show and he watched him grow up from a distance.
Cos no matter how we look at it, a supernatural being who's been alive for thousands of years is older than every single human on earth. So going by that logic, there shouldn't be any love stories between supernatural beings and humans 😂 But then, they ignore the fact that supernatural beings in fiction usually don't feel anything for humans at all until they get to the point where they actually fall in love...
So yeah, this is one of the many examples of how people throw words.

While we're playing along with the older man younger man side of this show, I'd like to remind everyone that Sorn isn't that much older than Jun.
From what I know, Sorn is at most 5years older, so if Jun is 21yrs old, Sorn is 26. They are both in their twenties.

This means 2yrs ago when they first kissed, Jun was 19 and Sorn was 24. At that time, Jun was already old enough to go to bars and clubs and pick up ladies. 2yrs later, he's certainly not a baby. So, yeah, no grooming in site.
This isn't a show about a 50years old man trying to get with a 21yr old man.

As for the person shouting grooming, pls look it up. Aside from Sorn occasionally helping Jun get some relief, I'm yet to see him actually try to teach him anything else. Last time I checked, teaching a person how to kiss doesn't even come close to what grooming is.
Who knew young men can no longer get with other young men without being accused of "grooming".
