The funeral scene had to be one of the coolest scenes in any HYD version. Never realized how powerful F4 was until this scene. They sure made it look like F4 will eventually inherit the country. lol

SAME!!! That scene was like the real life chessboard Thyme's mom has been playing all along and here we thought it was all Gorya and Thyme she was playing with! It was an insanely good scene. I'm still blown away by it just thinking about it and how well written it was. The build up of the background music, Kavin explaining how their world works...Gorya watching on...F4 walking in with their parents...AMAZING...AGAIN, one of the greatest scenes in the HYD franchise. Thailand just keeps knocking it out of the ballpark with their brilliant storytelling! I can't find a flaw in this story! I'm so happy Thailand is retelling this story, literally filling in all the holes all the other versions weren't able to do.

Anyone here scared as hell of MJ's dad?! The scene they walk into the funeral was so epic. That whole scene was epic! The music went so well with it!

If you think from a person who is powerless like Gorya **money wise, you can't help but be judged though. Who has ever felt they fit in if they were standing next to Bill Gates? I get how she feels, there is no balance there. How can she try? She's a high school kid still, who's parents can't even support her. Little by little, the feelings that Gorya currently has will build up and eventually end like episode 9. No matter how much Thyme tried or even if she tried **she did challenge his mom. In the end, she is powerless against the 1%.

The break up scene has to be the best and saddest break up in the Hana Yori Dango franchise. Goodness, when Gorya said "Go back to your world."...those words hit so hard. Her shaking voice...my poor Gorya...know that you are worth so much and in the end what you have is worth more then everything the 1% has. Thyme sees it, we see it...don't forget what Mira told you! T_T. Don't forget you are the bunch of weeds/grass that can consume the flowers around you!! This episode was truly heartbreaking but so DAMN GOOD!!! AAAAHHHH

Well, I was just pointing out all your reasons for not watching, judging based on the original story. Since you hate this and that about the story, you would be wasting the time. I'm just trying to save you time. :)

When Thyme says: "If you think I'm handsome, just say it" GAAAAHHHHH Bright is way too handsome.

If your already judging with all these reasons that will definitely be in the story, then no don't waste your time watching.

Oh yes, I know lol I grew up watching Thai lakorns...got some problematic shows for sure.

Funny trivia: Thyme's first name is Akira. In the Manga/Japanese drama, Akira Mimasaka is the character MJ portrays in the Thai version. Akira means The Sun in Thai while in Japan, Akira means Bright. They really chose these names wisely.

Well, if you aren't aware, even Thailand wasn't very welcoming of this story to be made mainly because of the same reasons. When it was first announced, the country boycotted it so the director did promise to do justice to the bullying issues in this show and so far I think he's doing a great job. If you do watch, look deeper into the purpose of the show not just about a bully falling love with his victim type of show. Its a coming of age type of story.

One of the best Kdramas of 2020. Every episode had me on the edge of my seat!

Stay away from the Korean BOF. If we want to watch the remakes, start with the Japanese version. lol Its recommended.

I have to give F4Thailand credit for making the most sense out of their storytelling. Out of all the other versions, Thailand's storytelling is airtight. It just makes a lot of sense, its such a straightforward show, there is no time to drag the story which I appreciate. In the past I never imagined F4 individually had strong stories, for example, they never focused on MJ's story but in this version, we know who he is and how important he is to F4. He's like the caretaker, bodyguard of F4, literally. If Thyme was the crown prince of their high school, Ren, Kavin and MJ were his royal advisors while Gorya is officially his Queen. The fight at the end in episode 7 solidified this theme. Episode 7 is the turning point of this show. Feelings have been sorted out and now the war to take his rightful place as King is on.

FYI, I am actually from South East Asia too, not Chinese, not white either. Anyways, like I said, I know this is topic in Thai entertainment for many years, not trying to gaslight anyone here, it is something Thai entertainment can work on but which industry doesn't have a similar issue with whitewashing? We have a long way to go but I still believe Thailand is working towards that balance, I haven't lost hope like you. 10 years ago no one knows about Thai celebs, now they are well known worldwide. Just like how F4Thailand have changed their story's narrative to fit today's society, Thailand is able to popularize anyone from their country no matter the color of their skin. I have seen changes over the years, some channels showcase more Euroasians, some channels don't. Many Indie Thai films feature only Thai cast, the only prestigious film award for Thailand was Cannes Palme D'Or, won by a full Thai cast and director. Just because we don't see full Thais in mainstream media does not mean they are not achieving anything either. In other fields like Thai hip hop music and country music, they are dominated not by Euroasians. It is a working process here like the rest of the world.

Who are full Thais though? Thailand have many foreigners and they have the largest population of Chinese immigrants in their country outside of China. Most Thais are mixed. I know this discussion about Eurasians in Thai dramas, I've seen it since the 90s when I first followed Thai dramas, but what I also see is a balanced amount of popular celebrities who look full Thai and Euroasian Thais. They all share the same amount of fame, no one is more famous then the other no matter their background. How are you watching any Asian shows? Many Asian countries prefer pale skin make up...

Again, I don't believe Tu's skin tone changed, this is all suspected by you. This is a Thai version of F4 because the people starring in it are Thais from Thailand.

Oh, I'm sure it will be big news in Thailand if this was true. Its 2022, people will say something. Thai netizens are as loud as any other country in this matter. Even when F4Thai was announced, Thailand boycott the idea for this story was too old fashion, if they were to darken Tu's skin, it would be headlines. I don't believe this because Tu hasn't said anything and there isn't reliable sources to back your claim. Basically your basing this off IG photos.
