Watched some kung fu dramas/movies in TV sporadically in the late 1990s when I was little. Got busy with school, career, and family in the 2000s in the US. Ran into some Asian short movies from JinnyboyTV and Wong Fu Production in Youtube in the early 2019. Found AsianCrush clips in Youtube and started watching their collection. Opened an account in MDL just to review Chasing Ball. Too far I have fell down the Asian dramaland rabbit hole, since then my journey to the west continues...

My drama/movie genre preference is mainly romantic comedy. Depending on my mood, once in a while I pick romance melodrama or pure comedy. I watched shows from the most often to rarely: South Korea, China, Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan. Before I pick a drama/movie I usually peek into the trailer, read the reviews and/or comments. Once I committed to watch any show I know for sure it should be in my preferences somehow. Therefore, I don't rate a completed drama below 6.5, also I don't watch a drama half way or 3/4 way and drop it. I reviewed almost all dramas/movies I completed. My rating standards are:

10 = A masterpiece. Great in everything: story, directing, editing, screenwriting, cinematography, CGI (if any), acting, OST, costume, makeup. I rarely give 10. So far only: Goblin, Kill Me Heal Me.

9.5 = Great drama/movie, either beautiful love story (for romance), lots of hilarious scenes and conversations (for romantic comedy or comedy), and fast-paced or well-paced no need of skipping scenes. Definitely will re-watch it as a whole once I have zero to watch in my PTW list.

9.0 = Great drama/movie, either beautiful love story (for romance and/or romantic comedy), lots of hilarious scenes and conversations (for romantic comedy or comedy), but I skipped some scenes and/or conversation due to boring conversation, unimportant characters, or draaaaaging. Definitely will re-watch it with skipping scenes once I have zero to watch in my PTW list.

8.5 = Good drama/movie. Have some flaws and probably I will want to rewatch it as a whole. This rate is usually for fast-paced dramas or movies.

8.0 = Good drama/movie. Have some flaws and probably I will want to rewatch it with skipping scenes. This rate is usually for long-paced dramas.

7.5 = Good drama/movie. Have some flaws and I will not rewatch it

7.0 = Okay drama/movie, lots of flaws and I will not rewatch it

6.5 = Bad drama/movie. Not sure why and how I completed this drama though???

Once in a while I misjudge a drama. What I thought it should be in my preference I end up not liking it. Hence my rate below for a dropped drama:

4.5 = Dropped dramas. Bad in lots of things. Can't go pass Episode 1 or after a few episode can't stand it anymore.

There are some dramas I end up dropping them not because of the drama features themselves but because of external factors, such as bad technology (older dramas cannot be seen in HD quality) or bad sub (dramas that English subs are right on the top of the original language makes it hard to read). In that case I will not rate them, as it is not fair for the drama itself and the future viewers.
