LOL I think no one understands FL as well as ML, not even some people who is watching (like you). He's not willing to help unless he is needed. I think FL is clear headed and strong enough to handle/scheme better then the ML. Even when she is harassed, she consults with ML and they plan together, so not sure why you think he's just standing by when he's in on her ideas too... Also, if you were never in SY's position, I don't think you have the right to judge how her life became what it was. Its not something outside people can change or judge, even FL understood this and let her go to WQ.

I don't know about anyone else but I liked Shengyi's arc. It was painful to watch but its very realistic. She even admitted she had no one like Mudan did, she felt useless. When someone is this low in their life, they will grasp at anything, even if the consequences are harmful to themselves or people close to them. For someone who is not in her shoes, I try to understand her. I cannot hate her. For someone who's been abused by her family and husband, I cannot sit here and blame her for being so weak. Her brain is wire differently from Mudan's. Even Mudan understood this, I will strive to be like Mudan towards SY. Their scene in episode 23 was heartbreaking, when SY left, she knows she is wrong and as long as she knows this, even I can forgive her. I can only hope SY returns into Mudan's life as a stronger person. She deserves this happiness too.

I get that, he loves her but how its shown isn't enough for me to accept his love. They need to show that JCY has more emotions and I think they missed big time when they didn't get his reaction to her being a slave. They are best friends, how can they not show how worried he was when he found out where she ended up. I was waiting for such a scene. He knows she is strong but I needed him to want to save her so bad it would kill him if he didn't make it on time. This type of feeling I need from JCY now.

Why am I so disappointed they didn't show how JCY reacts to Mudan ending up as a slave?!! He just popped out of no where to save her at night then explained how he found out. I needed to see his anger, sadness, eagerness to reach her!! WHY DID THEY NOT FILM SUCH A SCENE?!! Such a scene would make viewers yearn even more for their love. Now I'm sure, he doesn't love her yet. Jeez, so cold. I was all excited he would find her and hug her, feel desperate to be with her, but nope! He's there to save the flower maiden who tends to his garden at home. SMH.

If you think this realistically, its accurate though. lol This is a women empowerment drama so we will get to see many types of women in society. I think the writers are writing the women and men accurately. No such thing as well beings, humans are flawed.

I get where Shengyi is coming from. Its a sad reality even in this day and age, to feel complete, women must marry. I cannot blame her for betraying Mudan in the future because situations like this happen in real life, she and Mudan have different views of life. Neither of their views are wrong and should be respected. You can't persuade people to change their minds no matter how much you foresee their future to be miserable or not.
