i just binge watch this and honestly this is one of the most useless ML i ever watch. wasting 1000 years mourning and looking for Ayin's soul without trying to find justice for her. knows the peacock princess overstep and abuse her power by punishing Ayin so harsh that her immortal soul's broken and leads to her death, yet still polite to her, because according to him that's Ayin's business with the peacock princess? seriously? for someone who claims that he doesn't care and doesn't want to be involved with heavenly business, yet he suddenly think that he can't show favouritism toward Ayin and need to punish her. and the punishment is to destroy her homeland, with her baby egg sister in it. what does he think Ayin's felt? "oh yay, you just destroy my homeland, no biggie, i can find another land. and yay you just killed my sister. no biggie, she's just an egg anyway. i'm gonna live happily in confinement and solitary."
one of the most ML that i hate. really hope Ayin never forgive him, but i know most people love happy ending and they will make them got back together again, yikes (run Ayin, seriously, you deserve better)

that last one minute ending honestly isn't necessary and kinda ruin it for me.
i accepted that they all gone, no need to insert some kind of cryptic scene.
but here's what i take: maybe that kid is a baby orphan which got into Six Realm Hall and they honored those war heroes by giving the kids Ning and Ren surname. or maybe Chu Yue is dying and those are just her imagination.
anyway, this is a masterpiece for me, even though the ending kinda tragic. honestly i'm kinda bored with they-live-happily-ever-after ending, where everyone can die except the leads. it's becoming predictable. i never imagine that they are bold enough to make most of them died. it's been a long time since i watch something where most of the protagonist died, usually it's just one of the leads that is dead, and if it's xianxia then he/she will miraculously resurrected without any logical reason.
and btw any other assassins characters should learn from Ren Ruyi. this is what i have in mind when i heard the word assassins. no bullshiting first when she/he wants to kill and just slash.
anyway, it's 10/10 for me if not more. very recommended.

pretty sure FL style in Hidden Love has cute style too. there's nothing wrong with that. 20ish girls doesn't have to wear something like 30-40ish

i subscribe iqiyi too. but this drama isn't aired on all iqiyi, it's limited to certain region. i'll wait for this to finish airing, maybe it'll be available to all iqiyi. if not, then i guess i have to subscribe viu

Yan Lin's actor did some sort of protest to the government, so the government freeze his projects. this drama actually has been scheduled to air months ago, and on the aired day, it suddenly got cancelled because of it.

geez all those harsh comment just because she act as villain? really? people can't differentiate between acting and real? and face shaming. seriously? at this era?
i personally think she's beautiful. her eyes are so pretty.

love it! never thought that it's a political drama (i never watch the trailer). i thought it's a light drama from the poster alone, so i actually don't expect much when i started this. i'm glad i was wrong lol. to think that this drama almost got shelved because of scandal... we'd miss a gem if that happens. lucky that they didn't freeze this drama.
all in all it's a 10/10 for me, i just have one problem, i wish they tone down the use of echo on the key dialogue. i mean like "don't die die die die" or "i'm sober ber ber", if you get what i mean. i get that they want to emphasize the importance of that certain dialogue, but geez it's just too much. if the dialogues are delivered properly, it's still will be impactful without all that echo

i'm just curious, is the Mandarin of Xie Wei's illness really mean dementia in English? i mean from what i see, it's more like PTSD and it's a whole lot different than dementia. is it mistranslation?

main couple need to learn from Yu Yao and Shi Yue. be honest abour your feeling like Shi Yue and talk about your insecurities like Yu Yao. that's what i call communication.
their friends should've lock the main couple in a room and only letting them go after they talk

then use his mouth to ask, "are you just gonna apologize for your work ?" and not just sulk and assuming things. as i said, communicate. and there's nothing wrong for her to apologize for her work. that's her career. jeopardizing someone's career for personal problem is petty. i can understand if he refuse to work with her, ask to change her to another journalist, but he take a step further by refusing to work with her magazine company. that's childish, not professional and honestly arrogant.

this is getting ridiculous. you block her, refuse to meet her when she came to your company yet complain that she didn't contact you. seriously? what do you want her to do? wait for you days and nights in front of your house? kneeling, crying, begging, groveling to you??? yes she hurts you, lies everytime she opens her mouth. but at this rate, either you forgive and accept her or break up and move on. and not just silently broke up, but tell it face to face. communicate! geez i'll just finish this for the sake of the actors and actress. 36 is too long, should've been just 16
