I don't think she's confusing both the MLs(only ML), she is conflicted to choose between her feelings (towards ML) or her ambition to get rich which can only be fulfilled if she chooses 2nd ML and thus her going back and forth with both of them was pretty realistic as they are flawed people. Also, there can be a pretty good reason why ML is pushing away SML's sister
