i'm not impatient.. i wouldn't even mind if there isn't any romance if there is minimal romance.. i'm just saying that even 5 seconds of him talking would have sufficed...
story of pearl girl was also a Female centric drama but the trailer gave us clips and moments of the male lead aswell and not just zhao lusi! but i understand if maybe there will be multiple trailers in which yan an will also have his section.
i would be overjoyed if it comes out this year! as a cdrama fan with multiple shows that finished filming years ago that are still not out yet i just don't want people to jump the gun and then get bored waiting.. if its not this year!
but hoping and praying for it to come out this year!
i think it will deffo be mid to end of next year.. they started filming this year and knowing chinese dramas... it takes a long time ot pass through sensorship and certifications.. so its not looking like this year but next year deffo

Lusi has been recently discharged from the hospital i'm not too sure if the illness is still ongoing but she is recovering and she is back to doing solo activities, but she hasn't returned to filming yet. She did mention receiving a couple of scripts in which certain ones have peaked her interest, but for now we just wish for her health and safety!

yeah it sucks that we don't get that anymore.. but it is very costly so i understand why they aren't gearing towards that anymore. but yeah i agree with 20 episodes for modern and then around 30-40 for period dramas!
and as a telenovela girl.. trust me i know a thing or two about filler episodes.. in one telenovela alone they repeat the same plot twist an average of 30 times.. the novela could easily end in 70 episodes but because of unnecessary plots.. it always goes over 170 episodes ðŸ˜
the 17th is only 5 days away, and the 27th is only 15 days away! we are getting closer and closer to finding out the main leads and getting new JJY content

oh okay, thank you so much! i thought it was something similar to "Almost Lover" starring Zhao lusi, in which the episodes were drastically reduced to 14 because of Zhao lusi's ongoing sickness.
But now that i know that it was intentional, i guess i can jsust enjoy the show in peace!

oh.. but i like watching at least 20 episodes! it feels complete, we should maybe stop the 40+ episodes ones because those tend to have way too many filler episodes that could have easily been dropped!
