GTK doesn’t know what it’s happening, he made a mistake first when he told her that he didn’t like her and then she said that she said those things because they are friends. This is his first time falling in love so he doesn’t know how to deal with the whole thing and OYD is still hurt for what happened with her ex so her trust is pretty low. I find in that aspect some similarities with her real boyfriend LSH from Bora Deborah, the big difference here is that GTK hasn’t been in a real relationship yet so he doesn’t really know how to deal with those emotions in his heart and now he is listening his brain which doesn’t help at all
