First part mudeok accepted him only in the last couple of eps and were about to marry. Here she is already his wife and man fell for her and they try to do it only at 8th episode. So it makes sense imo.

Romance is literally one of the main genre of this series. The romance between naksu and uk is literally how the story continued to evolve. Not sure what you were expecting then
