Title When Life Gives You Tangerines
I don't know whether to be sad or pity Aesun's life. On one hand, I feel sorry for her because she lives in the wrong era. She should have been able to become a 'successful person' with her talent, but on the other hand, Aesun is lucky because she has many people who love and care about her. Aesun may feel that her life is full of difficulties but she doesn't stay down for long because she has a support system, has people who give her a lot of motivation and moral and material support. She has her aunties, she has her children, she has her grandmother, the couple of grandparents who own the rental house and most importantly she has Gwansik. In fact, I feel completely sad for Gwansik. He always becomes a 'shield' for Aesun and his children, and I think his burden is much heavier than Aesun's because he doesn't say anything. He doesn't confide. All this time, he hasn't confided in all his difficulties. He has held everything he feels for decades. Why? Because his character was made to be Aesun's full support system even when he was still a child! on one hand it's a blessing, but it also feels like a curse to me.
