i suspected its one of these series where novel is better than drama, because this show don't have any narration voice and lost it plot around ep 2. I get it's slow peaced romance but with more than hour long episode it just come off very boring and uneventful.
So I just finished watching it... as far as overall experience go, it was pretty good. But its main problem lay in the novel it was based on, after reading it I can't say this drama is a good adaptation. They changed relationships and setting from the source material and the more they changed the more plotholes and flaws become exposed. Scriptwriters who adapted it didn't seem to like a novel that much and didn't seem to understand it - since most major changes made the overall experience worse.
To my complete surprise ABAAB managed to be much worse than Star in My Mind. At least in the JoongDunk series…
i can't even blame jd when their original drama as well as os episodes were so uneventful. Not to mention star and abaab were directed by the same person
i don't know what say about this show ... yes i did complete the show but watched in a 2x speed ... and i think…
was thinking the same when i was watching cut version - uncut one cleared it all up and major re-editing improved this show a lot. just check first episode of uncut version - you will notice stark difference
First time ever i dropped a BL just 2 eps b4 its ending like i really tried but it was just too much why there…
episodes are longer - but don't worry it's really add up logic and fill storyline. it also have serious re-editing which hide or cut out many previously cringe scenes and bad acting performance
don't even bother with cut version it's terrible - but uncut one is seriously re-edited and enjoyable to watch if you like drama. not sure who was editor in cut version but he was truly a buther.
after mc and it's half done script i don't hold by breath for Aof original scripts - still we will get visuals…
I know that Aof adaptations are really good - ATOS and BB are good examples of it. But they were based on books, while original part written and added on by Aof ware not the strongest. I just mean that Aof original writing ability is not that good.
I had to drop the show in ep 2, cuz I didn't like the pacing/over-the-top acting and the lack of a storyline.…
Cuteness for cuteness sake is fine as long as its done right. But i agree even though i am up to date with this show i don't think I could write one page per episode synopsis for this drama. As for popularity I am not surprised - one of only decent show airing was Bed Friends and after it ended attention shifted to ABAAB because there is nothing really attention-grabbing at the moment so lack of competition made this show more popular than it would be in any other time.
