Low production cost
This should have been a great film but due to low production cost and acting its lacking is not in the normal of the series we expect to see. Yet I still gave it a high score since with what they had i continued watching the series therefore i think it deserves a chance. The story is a compilation of different twist from former common and famous series we have already seen. Although it doesnt have much originality the writer did well or else I would have stop watching it. Every episode is just short and the story evolves fast so dont expect too much from it and you will enjoy it in my opinion.Was this review helpful to you?
Why I love Chinese Fantasy and Costume period
I am not a fan of Xiao Zhan although in this series every bit of emotion that his co-star share is like crushing my heart enabling me to breathe. In the Chinese film industry, it's the first for me when it comes to Ren Min. She needs more when expressing feelings but I believe the director pushed everyone as hard as he can. I am amazed to see a well-known supporting cast and they are mostly on the list of the people I love seeing acting. Another different story is the reason I loved it different from The Love Between the Fairy and the Devil, Ashes of Love, or Three Lives, three worlds, or the pillow book. The reason it's nice to support such a film is because of the lesson it tries to remind us the evil side won't get as far and love use the right way can conquer anything. Reality is embedded in it, that we are the ones who create war due to our personal intention, forgetting the good intention when we begin and end with personal gains sacrificing innocent people. Watched this for two days and it's worth every minute spent watching. The effect is amazing , details on the big screen it's fantastic, and it will make you want to be in the story being one of those with supreme power used for good. Under rated
As a frequent film watcher in my opinion this film is underrated by others to which because most inclination as mortals is towards how one's beauty is. Handsome men and women always get rated high than those who are generally of ordinary looking. This has to have a more refined scene execution in order or story continuity but with regards to the acting those involved gave their best and it's the director's shortcomings that made it short of the level of a highly rated film series. Under rated
This is a movie which is weird in a way but its fantasy, comedy and reality all together. It’s the twist and turn of life put in a nice way. The acting is good , like seeing the daily life which for sure others hasn’t seen. It puts the problem in life into a much lighter way to understand. It was a feeling of what is this story’s ending that made me keep watching. It’ s worth the while. Chen Zheyuan is only as supporting role in this film , the first of film I saw him not as the main character. Love the last music used in this film, it reminds me of the sound of Outlander in a way but its enchanting . Had to finish the end credits to finish the song.Was this review helpful to you?
Low rating due to acting
The story is good and some parts of the acting in the scenes better yet if the director pushed them more in there acting this could be much more appreciated. Like the others who saw this I know now why it was given a low rating and others gave it a high rating. It was worth watching but when you are so used to dramas that are extremely great you would really give this a low rating due to the acting. Still if you want to try watching it the story is good enough for the time you spent. The wardrobe as well is a bit reused probably due to low cost production. The part where its sometimes it has to be funny becomes a bit overwhelming it doesn't fit the right way it’s supposed to be.Was this review helpful to you?
You would watch again in time
This i one of the costume period film you would rewatch after a time. The story is a common reality problem we encounter in our lives, where someone else’s takes credit of what we achieve or sacrificed for. The script is well written the fact that it can be made jnto a movie of less than two hours. The portrayal is not overly made that villains takes all the scenes . The director showed the ability of the cast in their mildest yet enticing way. Every scene i very important to concentrate to watch since the lines of the conversations are related strongly to what will happen. In my opinion not all films are that precise. Thus making this a must watch one. Well it wont be in the festival if it ain't good , right?Was this review helpful to you?
Great political story
First if you are not interested in politics the I advice you not to see this. Itks not the common drama with romance this is base on history what could have or must have happened. The hunger for power that destroys families, make enemies and the loyalty of those who fight for their ideals. The acting is like real life episodes i have seen thus it may be less dramatic for those seeing a lot of dramas that are more dramatized. As it is we always dont know what is right and what is wrong but one thing I agree on is everybody has the right to study and serve the country or be somebody. As the Prince has mentioned we did not choose to be born in the stituation we are in thus we have the right to choose our own path. His thought on not using the power to kill to remove his enemies is really a good example as a leader. If this Prince did exist I as well will be willing to die for him. Under rated
This is the first movie that is costume period that teaches much about what being an emperor has to think about how governance of the old times are and how the life of the people is affected by every decision a single person makes. This maybe a comedy series yet it gave a lot of knowledge ignored during this modern times. It may not be a film that you will like rewatching yet worth the time watching. This should have been given a score according to the film value but not the love content or the portrayal used. Its fun but informational, like learning while playing. Stories like this and film should be given more of support. We cant live by just watching dramas with love and hate because we have that in real life everyday. We need films to make us laugh and be enlighten. My salute to the Director, writer and the people around the film who saw the value of making this as part of entertainment history.Well on th other hand it will make you shiver with its cheesy yet conservative romance. The cast will give you like live like experience with their portrayal. Not an expert on this field but brave enough to tell the world my opinion.

Mahilig sa action at pagibig huwag palampasin
Mahilig tayo sa mga action na pilikula sa kung kukumpara wala masyadong visual effect ito o kaya sanay na tayo sa ganitong estilo. Pagdating din sa team song masasabi kong tapwe lang kompara sa ating mga pelikula. Pero eto ka pagdating sa istorya at pag arte pag ako tatanungin eh oks na oks di lang makapagkumpara samga artista kasi paka may ma sagi ako at may masaktan. Kanya kanya tayo nang idol diba. Ganito nalang madadala ka sa istorya pati na din sa pagarte. Ang istorya mahirap hulaan, ako isa ako sa mga nanonood na alam ko na ano mang yayari dyan tignan mo, ganyan ako minsan kaso dto halos lahat nang hula ko palpak. Yung idang babae at lalaki pagmagkasama sa eksena para mo lang pinanonood kaibigan mo. Natural ang dating nila. Yung mga sumosoporta yung kapatid nang kaibigan abay kung maaabot kulang mababatukan ko ibig sabihin madadala ka talaga sa Role na ginawa nya kasi nga nainis nya ako hindi dahil sa hindi marunong umarte kundi sa galing. Yung mga kaibigan din na naging magpartner kahit di sila sing galing nang mga namumunong artista hayop naman sa halik kung maka halik supsop ay naku nakakaingit. So di ka man maluha or matuwa aba masisigurado ko naman na maiinis ka at madadala sa ingit hehehe. Basta pag umpisa medyo akala mo di maganda ang papanoodin mo, ang masasabiko lang huwag mainip bago matapos ang unang kabanata ok na takbo nang kwento. As a fantasy story it consist of the common plot favorable in the Chinese story writing. In my opinion, this is one good mythical story to be seen, however, if you get bored with that story that has repeated scenes due to the fact that they show how fate plays a role in your chosen destiny then you will be quite bored in the length of this series. It’s a typical past and future cycle scenes that are related to the present. However, to give credit to the director and performers this deserves a chance to be viewed as a result of hard work and production. If you loved Love between fairy and Devil or Three Lives Three Worlds then this is for you to see.Was this review helpful to you?
