LSS used the World Turning Jade (an evil artifact that gives backlash to the user) causing her to become almost fully blind and lose her senses before the tower scene so that she can replace his evil bone with her immortal marrow. She painfully went through this process so he won't become evil after he dies (since the transformation is auto triggered by his death).
LSS didn't owe TTJ anything. She went back to save the realms. That she gave the motivation and facility to TTJ to change his fate are already more than enough.
