Heat Index measures the engagement and popularity of the drama. It takes into account video/episode views, searches, etc. Each company has its own standards (so it is not right to compare between platforms).

For Tencent/WeTV, a drama that reaches 28,000 is well known and really popular but a drama that reaches 30,000 heat index can be considered a super popular and successful drama. S/S+ dramas have more resources (production budget, marketing, prospective ads, etc.) so it is a little easier for them to reach higher numbers.

The producer herself said that Blossom is an A level production so the high numbers in Yunhe, Vlinkage, Maoyan, and other data companies are even more amazing.

ZhaoMo's wedding on day 8 help them achieve the 30,000+ heat index. It has officially joined the Tencent Video hot drama club, becoming the 8th drama to join this club in 2024:

I'm not a fan of republican dramas myself. I think some fans like the fashion styling so they were suggesting that during TTEOTM promos.

No specific costumes but, FOF for the dark aesthetics, LGIEF's quirky colorful costumes for Miao2 esp.her cute hair accessories, and Blossom for the spendid Ming dynasty costumes.

23. An innovative drama you watched in 2024

The cdramas and kdramas I've watched this year were pretty run of the mill. Some of them were very good but I wouldn't say innovative coz they're permutations of common concepts or drama themes that I've seen before. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? 🤣

When it comes to innovation, I think of US shows that were really forward thinking and unique during airing like The Good Place (mind-blowing combination of ethics, philosophy, and comedy), Community (application of high-concept in a sitcom), Battlestar Galactica (politics, morality, and space adventure), Survivor (for popularizing reality TV), 24 (pacing a 24-hour plot over a 24ep season), Westworld(amazing worldbuilding for dystopian sci-fi), and many more.

Not to sound like a broken record but there are many reasons why Blossom is the darkhorse of 2024. Watch it and find out for yourself.

I watched it with no expectations and it was very well done throughout. The final 5 episodes were released earlier and they stuck the landing. 👏

You never know. What if this team surprises us again? 😊
Either way, they should surpass this one, or like you said, just leave it alone.
