At that point, I don't think LSS felt any guilt towards TTJ coz she was more focused on how she failed her mission so her guilt was towards her father, her sect and the rest of the immortals. I agree that TTJ is fully justified in what he said to her.

Yup, it's pretty messed up.
Read somewhere before that the author had to edit out some parts because they were too gruesome. 😅
I guess she really let her imagination free reign. 😂

He definitely ain't winning father of the year and his other sons are not better. I rather liked TTML's gory ending in the novel. He deserved it.

It's a sad but also optimistic open ending. 😅 It's hard to explain without giving it away but the ending makes sense because of the premise of the story. Just watch a few eps and see if it works for you.

It was not shown in the drama but TTJ's birth was way more graphic in the novel.

Excerpt from Ch.16:
The Emperor stared at the bed that was soaked with blood, only to see a baby boy lying in a pool of blood. He opened his ebony eyes, and his hand was tugging at Imperial Consort Rou’s intestines.

The baby boy seemed to be curious about the lukewarm and pliable object in his hand that wouldn’t break even when he tugged at it. He opened his mouth and bit it.

The baby boy revealed his creepily white teeth. And Imperial Consort Rou was lying on the bed with her eyes wide open, dead.

The midwives and female physicians trembled and fell to their knees. “Your Majesty…… Your Majesty…… this……”

This little monster didn’t cry even though he had just been born, and his teeth had already grown out! His fingernails had even pierced through Imperial Consort Rou’s belly!
