Ah understood. That XL part and porridgegate were frustrating. I was ranting here during airing coz the drama writers butchered those parts of the Jin arc. 😂

As for LSS, she suffered huge trauma seeing her father, sect members and other sects getting annihilated by DG. She also made a promise to kill DG to stop the realms from being totally destroyed (DG's plan is to reset everything back to chaos). Loving TTJ becomes insignificant in the possible threat of him becoming DG. She does what she can to stop and help him but ultimately her trauma and fears surface so she reacts negatively. It doesn't help that the drama writers undermined LSS character by going into irrational tropes and really diminished her contributions to TTJ's character growth and eventual saving of the realms as in the novel.

Agreed. That arc is a little too long-winded. Although it provides the backstory 10,000 years ago and the origin of the artifacts, it would have been better if they edited it shorter and focused on the immortal arc later on. Oh well! It is what it is. 😅😂

I cried a bunch for Wei Liang. They shouldn't have chopped him off just to manipulate audience emotions. In the novel, he was seriously hurt but recovered. It'd been nice if they followed a surprise recovery by the drama's end and he said to Xiao Tao that he kept his promise to return to her. Dang, I'm getting emotional again. 😭 poor WL and XT!
