Because the WOJ is a demonic artifact, it gives the user pain and extreme backlash. It also curses the user to a painful death. When YXW was using it to form the Divine Essence, she started losing all of her senses like sight, hearing, etc. and experienced a lot of physical pain so she basically gave up everything including her life to remove TTJ's Evil Bone and gift him with the Divine Essence thus supposedly freeing him from being the DG.

YXW is almost blind from the backlash of the WOJ at the tower scene so she really cannot see TTJ or the crows. 😥 Everything looked beautifully tragic during the tower scene and the aftermath.

Hats off to Old Gen. Ye! I do find this emphasis on Chuntao a bit weird. What about his concubines and the rest of the household? YZY finally manning up. RIP to both of you.
I love this cray cray TTML! haha He even dressed up YXW and B for a grand spectacle. Perhaps out of a bit of peevishness that YXW refused to "look" at him and beg while thinking of the Yin Yang bracelets as security backups, TTJ chooses to save B. He launches a crow attack on TTML and goes up to hug YXW on top of the tower.
The Lightning Punishment arrives and the final confrontation between TTJ and mortal YXW begins. We know how this goes. YXW exchanges her divine essence for TTJ's Evil Bone and she dies. TTJ desperately clings to YXW's hand while the lightning shatters the Yin-Yang bracelet and she falls to the snowy ground. Tia Ray is singing in the background. 😭😭😭
TTJ reaches for her body and starts going mad but remembers the Yin Yang bracelet thinking he can use it to revive YXW. Heavens: Not today, fool!
TTJ says it is cold outside and carries YXW "home".
Lulu's quarter profile is so beautiful. I kept looking at her jawline while she was playing dead.
TTJ dreams of YXW and DG pipes in to say that she is dead. He is spiraling into madness and decides to entomb himself in the ice coffin with YXW. Xixi really put his heart and soul into this bit. He actually kept unconsciously crying in the next scene that he had to stop and apologize for it.
YQY looking extra pale and went to see TTJ. They fight coz of TTJ's refusal to put YXW to rest. NBY is so cute when he broke up the fight. YQY suddenly throws a fireball towards YXW's corpse and TTJ flies to shield it with his body.
I couldn't savor this ep as much coz of real world intrusions.😅 I'll have to rewatch this later.
