The events of this episode nearly gave me a heart attack. I was so upset that I ended up hating YXW for a week.
Haha it was upsetting. However, I never hated YXW maybe because I hated the writers for making this porridgegate storyline more. This is not in the OG novel which would have been fine but the problem is they destroyed all the previous episodes development while having many plot holes. π€¦ββοΈ

This episode really showed YunLu's acting chops. They are so good at microexpressions.
Like in the beginning scene, you can see that YXW regrets having to do it but also steels herself to complete her mission. She sadly cried when asking to be TTJ empress but after that she looked resolute already. TTJ chose an ominous day for the wedding. π
The wedding night scene was just an explosion of emotions. The surprise, realization, anger, and acceptance of TTJ that he is going to die because of YXW. YXW shows disappointment, anger and bitterness. Finally, she showed dispair when her mission failed. I cannot help but laugh when they spit blood because I keep remembering how they refilled on the blood spits. Even YunLu found the blood spits too funny and they almost broke character.
Anyways, the scene in the dungeon was another awesomely acted scene. YXW was in physical pain because of the backlash of the WAJ and in agony at the thought that she has failed her father, martial uncle, and martial brothers/sisters.
TTJ dressed up in his matrimonial robes again and went to YXW. He showed derision at himself for falling for YXW despite everything she did to him. YXW was drowning in guilt for failing her mission so she kept pushing TTJ to kill her. Of course, TTJ didn't do that because he wants both of them to suffer.
Finally, there is the scene with B revealing the truth to YXW about the porridgegate. YXW realized the situation and showed regret for what has transpired. B was intent on killing her but luckily PR and YQY got there in time.
