The parts of him kneeling on ice, fainting and getting whipped were sad to watch. He just accepts them. OG YXW was a terrible person. She was spoiled rotten so she could get away with so many things.
With LSS, although it made me uncomfortable seeing her whip him and vacillating in helping him or not, it was also understandable because she grew up in fear of DG and still traumatized by the annihilation of her father and sect. Some people mentioned how the show should have given her a bit more time to deal with her trauma.
Poor TTJ! He really had a rough life. Surviving was his main goal so he didn't even mind eating swill. 😭 LSS was the first one to give him a decent meal in that household even though it was done begrudgingly at the time.
