I've commented this before, so I am gonna paste it here for you again.. :) For anyone who thinks they shouldn't…
I can see your point there fully, and agree with the last episode being full of things to be solved and that almost always feels rushed and did here as well.
Yes being a BossNoeul stan (I am as well, strongly) doesn't mean having to agree with everything the story did or what Mame does. I would have definitely done some things differently.
I agree with the idea of leaving something extra and juicy for the boxset only (since we are spending the money on it) but definitely not scenes you've already shown to be there .... her strategy here with cutting scenes entirely or cutting some scenes really short might actually hurt her and the series and therefore BossNoeul and I'm not a fan of that at all.

Oh and getting back to something you wrote above about a NC scene been more appropriately placed on ep 9 after CirPhu reunite --- I hope and relatively strongly believe that might be a cut scene for the boxset (we'll see if I'm right later), because I agree it would make sense there. I was surprised we didn't even see a kiss after the emotional reunion and confession...

guys im totally confused someone give me an honest review about it weather to give it a shot or not the reviews…
My suggestion is that give it a shot and see for yourself if it's for you.
As you have seen tastes differ and sometimes a lot :D

But here are some of my thoughts that might help you decide if you want to try watching:
-In my opinion it was a very solid bl series that was beautifully shot and directed.
-The acting from the main couple was strong with believable chemistry so I feel that that's half the battle won there already :D
-It has some fantasy elements but the main focus is on romance (might be a positive or a negative thing depending on personal tastes).
-The plot might seem confusing at first or at times if you don't pay close enough attention, so if you like stories where you have to stay alert this might be for you.
-The plot has some typical bl tropes in it but that is countered with new and interesting elements that are more front and center.
-It has some behavior that could bee seen as toxic/problematic, but the series doesn't really sell it like that or dwell in it (I personally wasn't really bothered with it and took it as the series told us and left it at that ----but again if you are only after greenest of flag characters might be a little problem for)
-Has a pretty good balance in my opinion of dramatic scenes and lighthearted once, but it definitely has some heavy scenes and subject (again might be a plus or a minus in your book)

Please let us know if you did start the series and what did you think if you did :)

Hope you won't mind me jumping on the conversation :)
I feel like very series will always have some subplots/sub-points that are left open, only because they are just that sub-things to the main story ans we ain't got time for all that :D
I liked that we mainly stayed with our CirPhu and their story .

I'm 100% sure Ozone will be fine and the mom has met her match :D I'm just mad at the dad for still being so mean that the son has to do it.
Oh and if I just got back with someone I'm madly in love with that I thought I lost forever having passionate sex seems like the logical think to do :D so I didn't feel like it was oddly placed (and my brain stays focused on the main story/couple mostly so I don't sweat too much about the side characters) :D :D

MAME universe for sure has some new material to work with should she choose to :D

Can't wait to see more of the PhayuCir and GlassesPhu story on the 30th, seems like a fun switch of Phu being the one having the crush first!!

Title The Boy Next World Spoiler
I have watched all 10 episodes carefully and observed all the details. There is no parallel world involved.Cir…
The scar thing is possible because there are parallel worlds.
But our mainCir is not from one he just lied about coming from one and yes has followed Phu since High school and that's how he knows so much about Phu (what he thought were just vivid dreams in the beginning were actually things that happened in another world with the Cir who was in the white room with mainCir --> we also saw flashes of many other worlds as well, like the CEOCir)
The Cir without the scar and had his hair up is a totally different Cir from yet another world...we saw him wake up back in his own world and Phu (with glasses) behind his door

What is EP with NC scene?
Do you mean which episodes have NC scenes in them?
Episodes 5,6,7 and 10 have NC scenes in the uncut version (+it is safe to assume that the special episode, that will be released on the 30th of March, will have at least one NC scene)

Cir is lying about "Coming from a parallel world". Parallel worlds exists but he's not from another world.
Yeah I got that for your answer sometimes simple is best :)
she can choose between the simple or long answer depending what she wants :D

Does anyone know if this gonna be on iQiyi on the 30th? Or is it gonna come out later like J&J?
It's going to be on Vimeo on the 30th (you have to buy it though)

It might be possible that sometime later the special episode will be also on iQiyi,
Love in the air has its special there now and it was first sold on Vimeo also and of course was part of boxset before being available on iQIyi if my memory serves me right

Title The Boy Next World Spoiler
Cir is lying about "Coming from a parallel world". Parallel worlds exists but he's not from another world.
And at first he didn't know what he saw was a whole different world but just thought of it as a very lifelike dream

Basically what I got was that there are endless worlds and in them all Cir and Phu are meant to be together (Phu is the light in Cirs life in them all) ---- so they are different but same same :D
It is the mission of current Cir to make a newer Cir find his Phu and be with him --- mostly this seems to be done via ''dreams'' (the guiding Cirs life with Phu) that push Cir towards their own Phu.

Title The Boy Next World Spoiler
I am currently up to episode 7 and am thoroughly enjoying the series.Could someone with a spoiler tag confirm…
Parallel worlds are real, ourCir just first thinks what he is seeing is just a dream/his imagination of the reality he wants with Phu.
Won't say more if you want to watch more are see what the series shows/tells you, but feel free to ask more if you want.

We don't know why Jin has the power (maybe MAME is sawing it for a story of its own and here the focus stays on CirPhu)

What the hell? And they just left Zone just like that??? It makes no sense 🤣🤦
Hah that happens when you are not the focus of the story :D But Ozone clearly had made up his mind to take Cirs place and face the mom, and I have no doubt that he can make her go crazy :D Would be a good idea or start for a new story with him for sure (maybe he and the fiance do fall in love :D :D )

On The Boy Next World: Uncut Mar 16, 2025
Can't wait till we get the uncut uncut version in the box-set :
(LITA box had some amazing content from BossNoeul in it) :D

When watching I was a little ticked they cut the scenes short buut that's marketing and business for you and I like that there really is something cut and left to show just in the box-set if I'm going to be spending the money on it

Thank you for the little update, glad you kept watching :)
Sometimes you gotta use the 2X speed to get through a show I've been there :D

Episode 8 is one of my favorites for the plot, hope you'll enjoy it as well (feel free to keep me posted :D )

When the Side Couple gets to play more interesting characters and a more comprehensive Story than the Mains. As…
It's so interesting how we can watch the same series and have totally different feelings about it. But that's the beauty of individuality and personal taste.

For me CirPhu story had more than enough plot and depth to it with the NC scenes supporting that. I found both characters interesting and layered.
The sides were just that to me -- sides that mainly moved the main story forward in some way and not that interesting on their own (Jin's power was cool though). But I must admit, personally I'm a one couple kinda girl, side couples and their stories mostly just annoy me, but that's just me.

I realized after their half of LITA that it would be hard to follow up. Boss and Noeul have wonderful chemistry…
So the parallel world is real, OurCir just didn't come from one (he just saw one and thought it was a dream at first got confused and ran with it).
So when the scar is gone and Cir has ''amnesia'' it is a different Cir and we saw little teasers from that world (and others) with the special episode focusing on his world with glassesPhu.

The series actually showed and explained a lot more of the parallel world than the novel did and that made me happy (I feel like for this having read the novel before really helped me to know what was to come and what was the focus for the story), in the novel it was only confirmed to exist at all in the special chapter, The focus was never really on how that works or the different worlds but just on CirPhu from this world and how the crazy moms parenting/abuse made Cir act the way he did (not approach Phu for years and then after the accident seeing the '''dream/different world'' waking up confused just taking the chance to make that a reality with the lie). So you could say without the crazy mom this CirPhu story doesn't happen, at least not like this not in this world :D

I feel like Zone will be just fine and make the mom go crazy like he promised, he has had the freedom and safety to grow and be mentally strong to stand up to her now. I just can't get over what a weak man the dad is...truly shame on him too next to mom.

I totally understand that some might have wanted more focus on the parallel world part and believing that the series would focus more on that. Like I said above reading the novel before the series I got more than I hoped for, if not I myself might very well feel the same .

Sorry about the long as hell response :D 100% OST is amazing and so is BossNoeul chemistry, hope we get to see more of them on our screens soon with diverse stories, roles and characters

Should I drop this or keep going? I'm about halfway through episode four and I'm boooooored. I've also seen spoilers…
Everyone is different and so are our tastes but I enjoyed the series so I recommend that you continue watching. There are many things to come after ep 4 that you might like as the story unfolds.

And if not for the story (if it's not to your taste) just to enjoy the chemistry between Boss and Noeul, that's always a win in my book :D :D

Finally finished The Boy Next World! So, a stalker gets a happy ending? What’s the actual message here? Are…
My thoughts on that is that it also matters how the other person, in this case Phu, receives the behavior. In this case Phu seemed to see it as Cir taking care of him and protecting him. And Phu was thankful for that and felt bad for not noticing Cir sooner and would have been happy to receive the attention, care and love Cir was giving (had Cir not been to scared to just approach Phu openly and Phu being in his own little world so much that he didn't even notice Cir living in the same apartment for all this time) .
I felt that Cir was more put off by his own behavior than Phu to be honest.
Phu was mad about the lie (and the guilt he felt while believing the lie and fighting his feelings) not the behavior before and I guess he has the right for that and you would have the right to be totally creeped out by Cir after finding out.
Phu clearly enjoys and has a need to be taken care of (understandable with him loosing his dad and let's be honest basically his mom too who is absent) so it works out for them.
Cir with his trauma didn't feel like he had the right to be happy and had to fear what his mom would do, so again I can understand where his behavior comes from and accept it as his way of dealing with life, is that a healthy and right way no.

Not saying that's how I or you or anybody should or would react/behave but that is how these fictional characters reacted and I just enjoy the content and drama these choices bring to the series and leave it at that (fiction is fiction).
