Heartbreaking

It was heartbreaking to see the relationship between Chen Qiuyiu and Biyun torn apart. I found it confusing at times because of the flipping of time zones of past and present events. What perplexed me is why Qiuyiu did not search for Biyun in his home region when before they separated he asked her to care for his mother, and if only Biyun had left an engraved message at Qiuyiu's mother's home as to where he could find Biyun. Sadly, Qiuyiu had changed his name making it near impossible for him to be found.
The acting by the main leads was spectacular and as usual Chen Kun does not disappoint, and the supporting cast was also good. The film lighting was rather dark that sometimes figures were obscure and I am not clear whether it was intended for effects or was merely the poor quality of filming equipment during that time.

A very touching story

I love the uniqueness and beauty of this story. The use of lighting, texture and color creating such impressionable visuals is memorable. On occasion the male lead fell out of being blind during daylight but I can understand the role of He Lan is challenging having to shift between being sighted and blind. I felt the actress playing Pipi looked older than Helan which did not suit what I expected of the character.
I love the supporting actors and stories about them with a harmonious balance of light humor and seriousness. Overall, I could rewatch this drama over and over again--a beautiful mix of fantasy and time crossover.

So Booooring...

I came to this drama because I love Chen Kun's acting, but I could not enjoy him playing this character. I think he is more suited for historical roles. I found the female lead Zhilei to be lacklustre and her face is too odd looking for me. Overall, in my opinion this was a slow and boring story with no spark or intrigue between the male and female leads, along with it being gross to see Luo Jia at times overstuffing herself with food, that I abandoned this drama after the first several episodes.
