Even tho I haven't watched the long ballad yet but Ik it's quite a popular drama. Ig there would have been chemistry between them but for you it wouldn't have been upto the mark. It's your opinion anyways.
And about ZJY and Leo wu they both have that kind of similar calm appearance and they both act well so I don't think it won't work.

I have seen that movie and her acting was so good. Her crying scenes literally made me cry. She's one of the most versatile actors.
