I must say: my type of drama. Realistic, raw, and honest.

Only people who haven’t been in a long-term relationship would react badly towards FL. They are home to each other. There’s comfort there, and it goes beyond passion. ALL PASSION eventually dies down. Real love, family, and compromise are what make couples stay together.

IDK if they’ll make it. It seems like they might eventually fall for someone else, which can happen. Even when you love someone, you can eventually develop feelings for someone else. That’s just life. How you conduct yourself and the choices you make are what determine what happens next.

I agreed with most of your takes, but I don’t think Hewen was interested in Xiaoyu. I think he’s polite and understands the show’s dynamics, but he never openly made a move toward her unless it was required by the show. Their dynamic is even more friend-zoned than Yue’er and Xilun’s. It’s almost like a senior talking to a junior. We can see that Hewen really admires her.

I believe he has already dropped his ego a lot and understands Yue’er’s need for reassurance. Going forward, he’s gonna be even more open with her.

The thing on my mind is: is it gonna be enough for Yue’er? She holds grudges! We can see that in their viewer ep, she was still bothered by the car ride he had with Xiaoyu… Like, girl, it’s been almost a year! 😭

So my take is that she might choose Xilun in the end, but not because she genuinely likes him. Even though she keeps saying that she realized he’s handsome now, to me, it sounds a lot like excuses for her behavior.

If you think he’s gonna “demand” anything, you’re watching with your eyes closed. He’s not a confrontational kind of guy. The most we can expect from him is a joke like, “Oh, you’ve been busy,” or maybe, “I’m not so happy today.”

And I don’t see him going after Xiaoyu, more like just being polite and friendly, which is what he always does with her.

I just came across a dossier or something about Xilun. Let me tell you, this guy is trash. I’m talking photos, videos, audios, you name it! Talking to multiple women at the same time, using the same tactics. Going to see one woman while talking to others on the same day. The same stupid poetic shit he uses on the show. Yep, but we all know that Xiaomi didn’t really like Dinghao. They never really dated outside the show. They “tried,” but it never worked out.

Honestly, I don’t see any spark between Hewen and Xiaoyu. As for Xilun and Yuer, it’s really hard to tell because she’s all smiles with him, but the difference in how she responds to Hewen is still huge.

I just saw a trailer that we can clearly hear Xilun saying“I don’t regret falling for you” and Hewen sayin “I want to hold you hand and walk into the future with you”… I mean specifically Xilun’s words sound like a confession without hope, and let’s be honest, he will only like Yuer in the show.
Hewen it’s a little bit tricky, but I still believe it’s about Yuer.

100% agree with you. Their problems are so easy to resolve. Yue'er just needs a few words from him, and she's going to melt like ice cream.
But the longer it takes for them to do that, the deeper their connections with their second choices become, and that's when things can get really messy. Because we, as the audience, know they like each other and are keeping the other people as "options."
Resolving this will inevitably result in heartbreak. Whether it's going to be their own or the others', we'll have to wait and see.

I don't think your timeline is right. He chose Yue'er for the starry date after Xiaoyu came into the picture. I think he stepped back after that, and that's 100% Yue'er's fault.
But yes, I agree that he's affected by the way Yue'er interacts with Xilun. The thing is, she made it clear to him that she's completely affected by his actions too. If he doesn't step up and become more proactive, I don't see a future for these two.
Actually, ever since Yue'er's reaction to Episode 3, I've thought she and Xilun might be endgame.

We think differently on some aspects. To me, the guy should do the chasing. I guess I'm a bit "conservative" in that sense, so I understand Yue'er.
But at the same time, I agree with you that for them to work, they need to let go of their fears and egos. Honestly, I don't see that happening. Realistically, you don't change something so deeply rooted in just a few weeks.
I also agree that Hewen is more compatible with Xiaoyu, but I'm still waiting for the spark... Their date was nice and everything, but the difference is still huge.
As for Yue'er and Xilun, I don't like him, and I like him even less after today's episode. If it weren't for Kaiyi, he probably would've stayed by the door, waiting like a doorman until his presence was noticed. I really don't like his behavior. People in the house are noticing it too, especially Bohan and Kaiyi.
