He needed the money to fund the war/battle against the Northerners. He said it when everyone was gathered around…
I think it's clear why he wanted the treasure, but not why he needed anyone's help to get it (was my reading of the OP's question.) I mean unless he's sorting out who cares more about personal money than the nation and cleaning house in all sects? But it seems like he could get all that treasure with zero help alone.
It is a bit sad that haters work diligently with their nasty 1-3 stars while those who enjoy this drama are so…
tbf most casual viewers will just not rate till it ends in case it pulls a crazy mess on them, or in case the ending elevates what initially looked like it didnโt make sense so once it ends is when weโre likely get more ratings ๐
Well he does dub himself so I'm not sure what made u say this? ๐ But he is in fact dubbed by someone else with…
Especially at the start of this one, he's more like the MLC concert when he and FDB swapped roles onstage for that one scene XD. His deeper LLH voice comes back some eps in. ๐ชท
The second half of Ep 26 was ridiculous. The way that the ML-XQS got transferred wu gong power from those 8 elderly…
i thought it was hilarious myself; we knew it was going to happen as it was already mentioned it was a plot point of the book destined to occur during the fight, so our lead really just had to wander over to them to trigger the quest dialog ๐
Hands, eyes, smile, posture .. all under investigation -> Sherlock Holmes squad is here ๐คฃ๐คฃ
Kaiyan would love to come be inspected but he has to call in sick today *coughs apologetically and mildly, while surreptitiously hiding a cloak and a mask under the bed*
I am trying to understand how LSF did not recognized the similarity of XQS and LCZ when everyone else in the summit…
He did-- he looked at him weirdly when he first saw him, and later he said in ep5 or something that even though XQS looks very similar to his chief, it won't be an issue or confuse the underlings b/c very few have ever seen chief's face.
Yeah I was like don't eat anything! Don't eattyyy. Ok let's hope it didn't have poison. Why is his powers suddenly…
same, I was like second bro is so eager to have people eat and drink today, what is wrong with this food???? Incense and food I will always see as poisoned whenever a camera lingers on it now ;-; XD
Please donโt exonerate Li Chen Zhou. If LSF is guilty for creating insects from human blood, donโt forget…
tbf, the bugs are not an issue for me with either of them. Nothing that wrong with breeding bugs, those are like martial arts in that it's how the bugs are used that's the problem.
They were and I approve. If I were XQS I'd be immediately swayed by the charisma of not being murdered by this guy too and think 'yeah, you know what, probably actually not an enemy' too.
LCZ and his wife though. That look he gave her when he landed with the extra red petals. The look she gave him. I shipped them already but like x1000000.
Also, the EPIC Fight was everything I wanted it to be and maybe a tiny bit more, XQS and LCZ are both so beautiful to watch in action.
Honestly Bro2 looking so guilty now. I take back all I ever said about it maybe not being him, dude is sus as heck and now my #1 suspect for hidden mask dude. (I'm only like 20 eps behind the bandwagon of everyone else who already said it XD ;-;)
On a purely superficial note, I appreciated that XQS took the time to change outfits and get his handsome fringe back after dinner with K & Y. I too would want to literally wash the slime off after that disgusting meeting, only hope K&Y haven't hidden poison inside the pouch they claimed was from Mom while doing their best to guilt trip their bro. *pelts them*
I definitely get the impression there are two of him inside that body, like maybe the real XQS and the XMM who…
hehe it's subtle hints there, but like, there's also the fact that the overarching conflict is between the System/Will of the Original Author who wants his plot to play out per canon, and XMM who's really not sure life needs to suck that much for your average Wuxia protag and everyone around them in the name of "character growth", they can just be inborn innately cool and have stuff go well for them and they can have a good time and it can still be a good book.
Once you also factor in that the Plot is sentient and actually forcing people to align with the narrative and key character events and forcing those key events to take place if people resist it, kinda like the Misery Bugs but on a narrative level, it starts to make sense why Plot Armor is happening. As the protag of a wuxia, he has a golden halo; no matter what, he literally can't die permanently because the author of the book he's in has not written his death at that point; thus the central conflict is not 'will he die or not' but 'can he stop everyone around him from becoming victims of the Plot in a way that doesn't break canon' to me. or I could be totally wrong, but that's my reading of it so far, I love these kinds of questions.
Uhmmm, I've really tried my best to watch through this drama but fate wasn't by my side. The only good thing about…
Enjoy your next pick, whichever your end up choosing :) Dramas are for entertainment, so agree there's no point in you sticking around for this one if it's not holding you like it's holding those of us who are loving it ๐๐
I feels like story is kinda all over the place. Xiao Qiu Shui power level is confusing, sometimes he is strong…
I definitely get the impression there are two of him inside that body, like maybe the real XQS and the XMM who went into his body are both there, with XQS's full consciousness waking intermittently but still largely being suppressed by the System (at least till ep18 or so). XMM subconsciously still seems to feel XQS's emotions and when he's in trouble (eg. that fight in Ep2) it seemed to be that XQS soul helped him a bit.
Also, the EPIC Fight was everything I wanted it to be and maybe a tiny bit more, XQS and LCZ are both so beautiful to watch in action.

Love this show so much *-*
