ahahahaha I loved him so much as Tang Lian (sp) in Blood of Youth and Star of Morsha (sp) in L&R that I can't wish suffering on him even if he's evil. Even if both these things happen, I want him to come out of it a chastened author who understands that you need to give nice things to more than just the main lead in your books so that life doesn't suck so much for you when you're the one stuck living their lives lol.

As XQS is slowly losing his own memories, it's unclear to what extent LN is doing the same as well, maybe, so he doesn't want to give him more info than he has? And even if he is LN, it's unclear why he'd want to twist the narrative to deliberately make some kindly people die who MM was averting the narrative to save? Whether as LN or as Kaiyan, both XQS and XMM probably want to know why he did this.

There will be some kind of tournament and the winner will rule the martial arts world, and Crazy Yan will show up at it.

Duality of guilt & principles.

They see how their own sects are doing fine (rich, many disciples, powerful) so there's no guilt or worry about harming their families/parents to wander the martial world to cause a dilemma, as their sects are well off with plenty of people looking after their parents, while at the same time their families won't go against the powerful even when they bully the weak to get justice because they'd rather keep security and power, so these sword bros do not approve that much of their own families lacking morals. Hence they stick around QS more, since they like his morals better.

I was like 'why so over-friendly Mr Hugs-and-shoulder-pats-too-much???" but I didn't realise then that he prob sees the little half-brother he couldn't save from going evil/getting poisoned by his crappy half-bro emperor in XQS, and desperately wants this kid to have some kind of actual support unlike what he and LCZ probably had back then.

I am fully expecting the next line from Kaiyan's "Of course you don't know why you're so randomly lucky!" "I have to rely on my own effort!" to be, "You are the main character of the novel and I wrote you all your cheats!!! You don't deserve them, I do, I am the reason you have any luck at all!!!" and XMM to say (with judgement, and a single tear for all those dead people) "...Senior, you aren't /still/ pretending to be an actual author, right?"
