The storytelling is seriously so witty. The introduction itself, at first glance, it almost seemed like an ending, but it actually is a really well crafted introduction to the language of the story... you know astronomy, gravity, time, orbit, and things moving toward each other. More importantly, it introduces Cheewa as the person who gives Niran a different way of seeing the world. Niran hasn't seen Halley's Comet, but Cheewa is the one who makes him aware of it with his "Did you know.." stuffs. In the same way, Niran may not yet understand what Cheewa will come to mean to him, but Cheewa is already beginning to change the way he sees the world. It's almost as if the introduction is metaphorically telling "This is the person who is going to change the way you see things." And I just love how cleverly they set that up. What initially feels like an ending is actually introducing us to the beginning of Niran's world changing because of Cheewa.
P.S: I read this somewhere but apparently there's also a metaphorical meaning behind the whole Halley's comet thing: "Even when something disappears beyond your sight, it doesn't necessarily mean it's gone. Some things are simply making their way back to you." Never knew astronomy could be this romantic😭Who knew orbital periods could make me feel things?
What is with the first second of the show. Is that suppose to be Keen's character but fused with a random person?…
That's Sea, not Keen 😭. Idk if it's AI or an edit, but I feel like they kept it there to represent Cheewa's whole astronomy nerd persona. The beard, glasses, robe like outfit, pointing at the night sky.. it's giving old-school astronomer/scientist on purpose. And considering astronomy and gravity are literally such a big part of Cheewa and the story's theme, I kinda see why they used it.
I absolutely loved this episode from start to end credits. Every. Single. Second. The way it opened had me thinking we were already seeing the ending when the episode had barely even started, and I absolutely loved that too. And Niran having full-on heart eyes for Cheewa.. Like DAMN. SIR. 😭🫠 Then the setting shifted to the school, and we get to see teenage Niran and all his doubts. When he said, "My universe is a dark universe. Pitch black. I don’t even know what I like or dislike. I just live day by day. So ordinary." I FELT THAT. Like… damn. That line hit way harder than I expected. 😭
And Cheewa.. oh Cheewa he gave me cuteness aggression throughout the entire episode. He is such a nerd, and the way he flirts with Niran in the nerdiest way possible by starting every conversation with, "Did you know..." and then launching into some random nerdy fact.... it's so him. And his P'Niran being absolutely not nerdy enough to understand that he's being flirted with. I was losing my mind. The poor man is just standing there while Cheewa is basically flirting in an entire language of his own. 😂
And then the closing scene.. our innocent Cheewa being so straightforward and just asking, "Can I hit on you?" 😭 I am simultaneously in heaven and in hell because THIS EPISODE WAS EVERYTHING, but now I have to wait SEVEN WHOLE DAYS for the next one. 😭SeaKeen absolutely nailed these characters. And honestly, I am already too far gone.
I honestly don't see it that way. I actually really love their dynamic. Sea is more introverted while Keen is…
No no, I'm genuinely not trying to start an argument, and I don't think you are either. 😭 And I definitely wasn't trying to dismiss your opinion or say that you're wrong. I was simply sharing my own perspective on their dynamic, just like you were sharing yours. I think we just happen to see the things a little differently, and that's completely okay. I wasn't trying to convince you to see it the way I do, nor was I expecting you to agree with me.
Like I said, at the end of the day, I'd rather focus on what they choose to share with us and the chemistry they deliver on screen. Whatever their dynamic is offscreen is ultimately their own space, and I'm just happy to enjoy SeaKeen for what they give us. ❤️ Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and this is simply mine. Again; It's okay to disagree.
mm is it just me or does anyone else feel the pilot and main trailer are very diff?im not complaining though..…
It does look different but if you watch the special episode you will know.. nothing much has changed. Cheewa is weird in a super nerdy way.. even Sea mentions it and the bullying thing it's also there and Cheewa being a simp for Niran is given.
ok this is NOT HATE commenting, but just a thing I kinda noticed:I love the 2 boys. Ive been a fan since their…
I honestly don't see it that way. I actually really love their dynamic. Sea is more introverted while Keen is more extroverted, so I don't think it's fair to compare how Keen interacts with Sea to how he behaves with other people. Different friendships and personalities naturally bring out different sides of someone. To me, they've always seemed very soft with each other and, more importantly, respectful of each other's boundaries and space. I also don't think we can really know what their relationship is like privately based on clips, photos, or BTS content but then again their BTS content is usually them being a softie for each other or Keen being his hyper active self and Sea just existing. At the end of the day, I'd rather focus on what they choose to share with us and the chemistry they deliver on screen. Whatever their dynamic is offscreen is their own space, and I'm just happy to enjoy SeaKeen for what they give us. ❤️
P.S. Now this is me being delulu, but they are married in my head. 😭 I am super extroverted and as someone who has introverted friends too, I know how much time and effort it can take to get an introvert to open up and match your energy. And Keen has absolutely aced that with Sea. At the same time, you can also see Sea trying to meet Keen halfway and match his tempo in his own way. I just find that dynamic really sweet. 😭 They seem to have found a rhythm that works for both of them, and honestly, that's enough for me to happily remain delusional. 😆
The trailer didn't include the iconic "Did you know.." scenes and some assumed it had been cut from the series but in the special episode, Sea mentioned how Parncheewa when explaining to his P'Niran goes "Did you know...."
P.S: I'm already losing my mind waiting for this to air.
