You will have to watch it till the end as most of the real saucy drama is in the end.
Coming from someone who has ADHD and can barely finish a 16 episode drama, i watched it till the end. It was very simple at first like a normal rom-com and/ot action but in the later half that is after episode 37 did it get good (unlike popular opinion).
I loved all the characters and casting but what i hated the most was ming hui, she is a character that did not pay for her wrong doings, even if she did it under imperial orders, she should have paid for it.
I loved Janice Wu as i do in every other drama of hers and i love the chemistry, i understand that what the writers wanted to tell the watchers was that yuan'an loved Mu Le as whatever he was but many people did not take it as that because she realised her love for him after he essentially became a prince.
It's plot was pretty confusing and messy but i still watched it whole, i just wanted to say one thing, watch it totally and you will either love it or hate it, no in the middle.
