Because that was the plot...
So far, from what I've gathered, is that an Arabic Prince who isn't Muslim doesn't exist in this world, so they're basing all of their assumptions on that alone and not that the character stated he followed Islam (which he didn't).

Just out of educative purposes , how do we know he was a Muslim? Was it the way he dressed? Or simply because…
So a Saudi thobe is tied to Islam? I've seen many non-muslims wear it though? And it's not common sense. It's acquired knowledge through education which is what I'm looking for since everyone is up in arms about this and I feel uneducated on the topic.

Well we are fairly certain he was a Muslim because he was from one of the Arab countries and the character is…
Thank you, this was a nice clear and concise answer. A lot of people are saying that they're insulting Arab culture. Is the Islamic religion also part of Arabic culture? We don't have that concept here in the west.

Can someone, preferably Muslim, educate me here: How do we know that Samir (The Arab Prince in the show) was a Muslim? Was it the way he dressed? Or simply because he's Arab? No where in the show did he ever say he followed Islam so I'm wondering if there's something I missed.

Don't make a Muslim drink and club for a drama. That's just wrong and unnecessary. Everyone knows this. Like if…

I thought he was super fun tbh and the actor who plays him was very charismatic. idk how accurate he was to reality…
Oh yeah I remember that. I was so young during 9/11 but I remember the villianizing of anything even remotely Islamic. A far cry from making such a fun loving character despite not being halal. Even with my limited knowledge on the Muslim people, I know that he was not a good representation of their religious beliefs. Despite that though he was a very fun and likeable character.

Am I the only one who really liked the Arab Prince? He's like my favorite character lmao. He's just so likeable. And his relationship with Gu Won is hilarious. It's like best friends who hate each other. I'd dead ass watch a whole show with just those two trying to 1up each other. Unfortunate that the Arab viewers hate him, he was a super friendly and flawed character with a strong rivalry with Gu Won. At some point I found myself rooting for him.

Title Heartbeat
It's campy, it's fun and there's Taecyeon. The first 30 minutes of this show are truly awful though lmao. It had no idea what it wanted to be, funny? Serious? Heartbreaking? Pick a tone and stick to it for godsake. Buuut, after that it's been smooth sailing. Really fun show to watch so far. Hoping it'll stay fun and kind of silly otherwise it would be tonally deaf. Also does anyone else appreciate how deep the FL's voice is? Like hello? It's butter and super nice to listen to.

This has to be the most miscasted Kdrama I've seen in a long time. Brilliant story, but the two leads are not suitable for their roles. In fact I would prefer Ha Yoon Kyung as the lead, that actress needs to be given a chance to star in her own show. The child actors and actresses are phenomenal, zero complaints there, in fact they need awards for how great their acting is in this show. The performances by Shin Hye Sun and Ahn Bo Hyun however, leave much to be desired which is a shame considering how incredible of an actress Shin Hye Sun is. Their chemistry is nonexistent and the editing is jarring with how they jump back and forth from her past lives. I believe it could have been done in a far better way that wouldn't feel so out of place. I won't complain too much about the incorrect history because this show exists in its own universe, ergo it's fiction and not a documentary or a true story. Since it was presented as part of her past lives, she could've been the first female president of the United States for all I care, it's fake.
