I really like Jiang Ji. She's so resolute in her own convictions and beliefs. Despite them being kinda messed up, I like that she sticks to something that aligns with her core values. "The immortal sect is correct, and anything that challenges that is wrong and must be eliminated". She has so much potential to have massive character growth. It's a shame the drama won't go that way since she just exists to oppose the FL and push her to grow in the opposite direction. Out of all the character in the show, Jiang Ji is the most honest with herself, and how she perceives the world. Something I really disliked about our FL throughout the entire drama is that she felt so hot and cold about a lot of things. Same with Bai Zong Ying. Very few characters in the show, know who they are, what they stand for, and root their core values in those beliefs. I hope our FL, now that she's decided a new direction (ep25), will also have those same qualities that exist in Jiang Ji.

Bro there's so many ways to legally avoid paying taxes at his wealth level that why would he even commit tax evasion and almost speedrun his way to jail. If he did a 50/50 split with income and distribution from his company he'd be fine. Everyone around him straight up failed to give him good financial advice cause 13million in straight income tax is diabolical. It's like he's never heard of charitable trust funds or deferred income.
Honestly, I went into this drama for my girl Ju Jingyi. But OH MY GOD I am SO invested in Shiguang and Wangyan's relationship it's unreal. My otp, my endgame, please have a happy ending my heart can't take it if ya'll don't end up together.
I only watch things with happy endings, will this one have one? Someone spoil it for me from the novel if you've read it. Also if happy, who does she end up with? Hate committing to something only to find out it's a miserable watch.
Honestly drama is super mid, it's all over the place and can't even give us a good character introduction for our literal main lead Ju Jingyi. At this point only reason I'm watching is because having Jingyi and Duling as 9-tail fox sisters is peak casting they look amazing. Been 2 years since I've seen Jingyi in anything so really nice to see her back even if she's kinda not doing too well in this role. Why is her character so bland and devoid of any traits? At first maybe I thought she was acting to fool the Hunters and I thought she'd lock in after it was revealed who she was but nope. Still kinda a boring character even after that. Hoping it'll get more interesting but have little hope after so many episodes.
This legit might be the best Chinese Drama I've ever watched. Please don't let me down in the second half. Keep going strong! This might be Tian Xi Wei and Zhang Ling He's most critically acclaimed roles in their entire careers
Honestly at this point I just watched it for Lee Siwoo her character was funny 😂. Really mid drama, nothing much to say. Ending was boring. I just hope Lee Siwoo gets a real lead role one of these days, been liking a lot of the support characters she's been cast as.

Yeah but the characters didn't know that at the beginning. So that entire logic just falls apart. Wangyin blatantly spoke in English to a tyrant king she didn't even know which would've had far worse repercussions than some concubine. So basically, it's a plothole and I should just ignore it.
Someone clear something up for me, I'm on episode 7 so please don't spoil anything. But why didn't they recruit Xie Yong'er in the beginning of the story? She's from the real world like them. Why hide that from her and have her work against them? And shouldn't they be more concerned about getting back home to the real world? They seem entirely concerned about the wrong things. A simple English check would also work on Duan, the second Male lead, and second female lead. At worst they'd be confused and not understand, at best they'd join them and they'd all work together on how to get home. I'm honestly a little baffled at how they seem to just randomly be working against themselves. It's confusing in a way.
I had to double take after seeing legendary actress Zhao Li Ying here. This drama isn't even listed in her profile, nor is she in the credits/cast. Really pleasant surprise to see her face though even though this drama is significantly beneath her

Btw on your recommendation I binged watched Pluto and fell in love with it. Was an absolutely beautiful story of Love, Regret and Forgiveness. I think I'd give that one an 8/10 and ClaireBell atm is sitting at a 9/10.

Hell yeah, been a minute since I seen Won Ji An as a lead. Not since like Heartbeat. Really like this actress so gonna be a def watch for me. Not sure if Park Seo Joon is the ML I wanted to see her with though. Was hoping for someone like Lee Soo Hyuk or someone with a bit more of a unique vibe. But career wise this was the best possible outcome for her. Hope this will jumpstart her career as a lead actress!
This is my first GL and wow am I impressed. To see this level of quality from brand new actresses is incredible. The cinematography is absolutely peak and the color grading is intentionally well chosen. From what I originally saw, the previous actress for DeeDee had a better acting ability, but this new one suits her character much better despite the weird fake laughing thing she did in episode 1.
All in all I'm really excited to see where this goes, Mable is absolutely killing it in her role and so is Pangjie. So far I'm giving this a 8.5/10. If anyone has any recommendations for other good GLs hmu.

Honestly 8.6 is actually decent despite all the 1 star review bombing. King the Land isn't anything groundbreaking and it's no where near some of the legendary romcoms that South Korea has made in the past. So, 8.6 is actually pretty accurate. I've actually had more fun watching Heartbeat.
